It was out of pure curiosity and others peoples recommendations that I forced myself to read Midori no Hibi. I can say that I have never been so amazed by a manga that shows both sides of humor and romance. At first I was a little skeptical due to the fact it being quite "weird." I honestly didn't figure out how the characters would get a long with each other when a girl turns into your right hand. Somehow Inoue Kozurou managed to get it done. The scenes with humor actually made me laugh, it wasn't even the drawings it was the dialogue which is what got me.

To a person who's been reading ecchi manga all this time, I can safely say that this is one of my better favorites in the manga world. I will surely read it over and over. To those who are skeptical, please read it before you judge it. I surely have not regretted making my decision to read Midori no Hibi. Trust me you'll love it.

I've read Midori over and over and I still laugh at the jokes and I still cry in vol 8. Inoue has done a great job on this one (LOL God of manga).
I wanted to read it since a really long time (since I watched an episode on Animax but couldn't remember the name). Thank god I found it! It was an amazing read and it was so funny, once when I was reading it in the middle of the night and laughed real hard my mom woke up (and then turned off the computer). I loved Nao!! She was so cool...I was disappointed that she wasn't included in the anime. Rin Sawamura was another one and Seiji was too cool.
And the character development was great, the artwork was amazing (Midori and Kouta were soooo cute!!!) and it was a worth the time (and money).
Go read it if you haven't!

Really good romance, comedy

I really enjoyed this manga. The romance could have been a little bit better in some of the volumes, but the ending chapters sure make up for that (definitely got me a little watery eyed). And, wow, his manga scores big in the character development and especially the comedy department; it's the first manga I've read that has resulted in tears running down my face from laughing so hard. I was also very satisfied with the ending. It's one of those stories that leaves one with a comfortable, satiated feeling throughout and afterwards (which was a big relief after the tragic Tsukihime and Evangelion).

The only reason this isn't a strict 10 is because I would have really liked to see more of their relationship after they expressed their feelings to each other. I would would have much preferred it if maybe even a volume worth of chapters were replaced with a focus on this (even though all of the chapters were good). Some may find the protagonist's personality a bit frustrating at times, but his stoic nature is a key element of the story, so I was not bothered by this much.

9.5/10

Also, if you're worried about this being some perverted manga about a guy who exploits a girl attached to his hand, this is nothing like that at all. There is no sex of any form, whatsoever, which is even disappointing to a certain extent considering it's nice to see a little bit of this in romance/comedy stories.

I would recommend this to anyone, and I would like to thank INOUE Kazurou (the author) for entertaining me.

Very funny and entertaining. Although I kept putting off reading this for a while, I'm so happy that I'm reading it now...it's just, I keep waiting for someone to make the comment that first popped into my head when I heard about this. The ecchi tag didn't help either.

"My right hand is my true love, I don't need anything else"
Got this from a hentai site...hahaha, well whatever, read this!! Awesome!

This is definitely one of the funniest mangas ever. It has a touching romance story but the comedy is the main focus of the manga. The humor is very creative and delightful. There's also very little repetition in the humor, so you won't be bored.

Except for Seiji and Midori, the other characters don't have any development but they add a lot to the humor. Although the story develops somewhat slowly, it left me with a very satisfied feeling when it ended.

Man I truly regret having skipped this title for so long, I remember reading the premise a loooong time ago when the scans first released and thinking to myself that it was going to be a generic shonen-romcom. But boy I was wrong, because this series is funny as hell.

First, there isn't one character I particularly dislike here. At worst, I'd be indifferent to a character, like the twin tail elementary girl or the american girl, but most of the time I found myself getting attached to all of the characters. They're just so likable, especially the MC and the girl on his hand, they're two characters that really have nice chemistry.

This is very close to what I'd consider a near-perfect romantic comedy, the progression of their romance flows very very well and although the ending is left a tiny bit too open to interpretation for my taste, the progression of the story leading up to the end was just that good to cover up the okay ending.

A very strong 8/10

The plot is very different in a good way. The main character guy suddenly finds out a girl becomes his hand and the author executes the plot perfectly.

I really recommend this manga because you will laugh your butt off and the plot is quite different.

This manga actually made me laugh. Not just chuckle and smile, but really laugh. There are some really great chapters (special mention to the one with a bike and the one where he can't speak), the art is good and most of the characters are really well depicted.

The romance part is a bit lacking honestly, except in the last volumes. Before that it is mainly a way to have some funny situations (which are actually funny for once !).

At first, just like most people, I didn't want to read it even though it appeared more than once in my recommendations, since the plot seemed just... weird, unattractive. But I figured just like every other manga that it deserved a try since the critics were good. And I don't regret it, I finished it in one sitting (8 volumes isn't that long). I originally planned to give it a 9.5, since to me a comedy manga shouldn't go further. But it had something more than just a comedy manga, so I gave it a 9.8.

In a nutshell :: highly recommended.

A very entertaining and hearth-warming manga. Somehow it resembles shoujo manga, but it's worth reading every chapter.

Character descriptions and development are somehow lacking, since the author decided to take the "easy path", and the core of the manga can be contained in no more than 10 chapters. No deep stories, side plots or wicked developments (the main plot does not offer much room to that anyway). Still, the remaining ones are full of gags and funny situations, and the reading is easy.

What makes this manga really interesting is the balance between romance and comedy.
I would change the tags and categories, btw. Ecchi tag is somehow exaggerated, you won't find more than a bunch of inocent panty shots and a nipple showing. And so is the "multiple relationships" one, it would be better to say multiple crushes...

I've been reading manga for quite some time, so I'll give it a 7, but that by no means implies lack of quality, on the contrary. Very simple in form and style, so I decided to deduct some points.

simply one of the best mangas i've ever read. i finished this manga in one go. it was funny, cute, and very satisfying. when i first saw this i was like, wth, right hand girl? how lame!, but after i read about 10 chapters, my attitude completely changed. the ending (which for me is the last 10 chapters) are brilliant. it is very touching, heart warming, and could easily make you cry, yet, it was kinda a happy one.
definitely worth your time, no question about that.
