Description
When Soah's impoverished, desperate village decides to sacrifice her to the Water God Habaek to end a long drought, they believe that drowning one beautiful girl will save their entire community and bring much-needed rain. Not only is Soah surprised to be rescued by the Water God-instead of killed-she never imagined she'd be a welcomed guest in Habaek's magical kingdom, where an exciting new life awaits her! Most surprising, however, is the Water God himself... and how very different he is from the monster Soah imagined.

It's not question that the art is beautiful, but be prepared to be VERY confused along the way of reading this...It's hard to tell what a flashback is, and the story jumps all over the place. So be ready to re-read many parts. Besides that the story is wonderful, all it needs is a better "flow"

The Bride of the Water God has the most beautiful art I came across of in manhwa/manga(it's been a long time since I thought "wooooooow" looking at a picture), but the story is lacking . . .

This is by far the best thing ever! My favorite manhwa in my opinion smile The plot is really good and different then others in some ways. Oh and this by far is the best art of manhwa history for me...it's so beautiful! o_O My eyes go berserk sparkling. The characters are very very gorgeous, especially Soah, Habaek, and older Habaek...mui or however you spell it? (hope that wasn't a spoil) It's soooo good! Love it!

gorgeous, amazing art

The art is absolutely amazing. There is a lot of detail in the art and there are pages before the start of a chapter with just the art. If there is an artbook of it, I would most definitely want to buy it and just drool. lol.

As the plot progressed, the story started to get more interesting. However, the story starts slow, goes slow and the information given by the characters regarding Habaek's feelings for Soah is quite vague (at least to me it is).

Stellar art, third-rate storytelling...

The art is flowery gorgeous and extremely stellar. However, the storytelling is rather confusing and it feels as though the creator has never done a full-length story before. Not only are there gaps in the storytelling, the pacing is rather uneven and the characterisation too sloppy. The premise of the story is the standard-fare shoujo storyline but 'cos there're absolutely no surprises or even anything interesting to breath life into it, I couldn't bear to bring myself to continue it. Recommended if you've simply run out of stories to read. If not, check out something like Dokebi Bride instead.

I LOVE this series.
I found the beginning a little slow, but if i were to read it all at once, it would make a lot more sense ^^;;;;;;
But the artwork and plot are brilliant, and it definitely isn't a dissapointing read smile. I promise!

I REALLY REALLY enjoyed reading this book but i feel so sorry for soah. I mean, she's suffering a lot. I wish vol 6 would come out already and the english publisher is pretty slow so i'm like waiting impatiently. The story is good and interesting. AND i like the art.

I think it's one of the best (if not the best) art I've ever seen in a munhwa.
A very good, original story and interesting characters.
Nothing much else to say^^

The art is so , SO good... Such a shame it's dragged down by the way in which the story is written.

Gorgeous art, though it gets a bit unstable in the volume 3 onwards. The overall idea is fascinating, but the manhwa artist needs to brush up on organizing and presenting the plot better. I'm not sure if I'm missing a few chapters here and there without realizing, but it sure feels like it (though there really are some gaps in the scanlations).

Even though things may get a bit confusing at parts, it somehow still draws me in to read it. Probably will be better if all the chapters were available, but it's a great series nonetheless.

The drawing in this manhwa is gorgeous and so beautiful! The best drawn manhwa (I think even better than mangas) I've ever seen. Also the plots interesting too. This manhwaka puts alot of time on everything and you could see her effort (which pays off). It's no wonder that its a hit.
