knowing the reasons the last chapter (or the last 2) has to be ignored, the story ends where it got truncated
the chapters we actually have are only an introduction to the main story, at least even with it getting truncated, it got truncated a little after the end of the main introduction
the story was really entertaining, any chapter was no useless, and even if it lasted only 21 chapters (i ignore the last screwed ones) it feels like it was a lot more long
the comedy was also great :3 the way the 2-protagonists react to each others and with other characters was so funny :3
even if this will not restart (which sadly is likely) it will remain for me a great manga, a great story
note: the only odd thing i noticed, is that the main villan and supporter (zere and fallan) look like ripped of org13 of kingdom hearth(only the design, nothing like the personality)... this may be one of the reasons jap folks didn't appreciated this much? :/

Coulda been a great manga. As it stands, the most I can give it is a 7. While I respect that the mangaka tried to give his series closure, perhaps it would have been best not to have even tried to give it an ending at all. Sure, the "ending" seemed open ended, which helps if the mangaka is ever given a chance to continue it, but it was also unfulfilling and mind-screw inducing. That "non existent disease" tag above takes a double meaning (no pun intended) in my head and makes me all the more paranoid about the ending.

Why such a story with so much potential was discontinued I will never know. I would have loved to see this story progress but I’m instead left with many unanswered questions. So be forewarned, this is not a very complete story, if you don’t like stories that don’t have a real ending I wouldn’t read this.
Plot- It’s a very unique plot, but I was hesitant at first. A boy and girl having to hold hands all the time eh… that could be interesting but at the same time it could become very awkward depending on how the plot device was handled. Fortunately that plot device was handled very nicely, and I actually enjoyed it! As the story progressed interesting questions were aroused about the disease and the different groups involved with its past. Unfortunately hardly any of the questions are answered…
Characters- The characters were great! Kiri was a very kind boy, fun loving and yet a bit immature, there was great room for his character development and growth throughout the series. Elraine was also quite a good character, of the cast she might not be the most interesting but she herself was very compassionate and had a lot of room for growth as well. As for the other characters they all had their own pros and cons, making for a very interesting and diverse cast. I personally really like Sui, she was great!
Art- It was quite nice, very clear and firm, very pleasant to look at. Though some of the hair styles (Kiri’s mostly) defied gravity… but ah well, it’s manga it’s allowed!
Other- The pacing of the story could be worked on, it seemed that it was going a little bit to slow, but it wasn’t too bad, and I noticed that there was an annoying recap in every single chapter that went over everything we already knew. Does Elraine always have to report to the Sisters? Other than that the story was quite good and was heading in a very interesting direction… and then it was canceled. I was slightly happy that we had a glimpse at the happy ending (or what seemed like one…) but I wanted to see us get there and all the questions were not answered at all which is annoying. I would recommend this, if only for the characters and general plot line, to others but only if they don’t mind open endings.

a good boy. a good girl, cute couple, great action.
DO NOT put too much hope of continuatiuon, but, you'll most likely enjoy the ride.

like farran said, if the user of flare have a great imagination, it won't be double arts anymore like multiple mega ultra super arts, you know, you can touch your enemy and have advantage of his power, or, when sister attacked make all of them touch you or make it a guinnes record of people/army touch hand... voila!

I loved the story line, it was really unique and i couldn't stop reading it. Just when it was getting really interesting it was discontinued. It really disappoints me when a manga like this has so much potential compared to a lot of the ongoing series that are not even close to this. I really really hope the author will decide to pick up the story again =(.

I loved it...for a shounen series this was really original...still don't see wth they were thinking canceling this one....at least the author gave us the smallest...tiniest glimpse into the future....it was minuscule but at least i know
also i agree with melon-rune-freak maybe if it ran in a shojo magazine, it would have continued...ah the world may never know...all in all well worth my time...more so than some other series that are still running in the triple digits with no end in sight....(fill in your own blanks)...so much potential wasted!! BUT.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!
Spoiler (highlight to view)
They found a cure for Troy, 'cus that was obviously Ellie writing the story about Kiri...it's also funny how the author threw in that Kiri was in love with Ellie from the start...ha ha ha...so cute
BUT i was left with so many questions...the art was smooth and clean...though i'm still trippin' on how ridiculous Kiri's hair was...the laws of physics must be followed a tiny bit...it was like he was going Super Saiyan 24/7.... also i agree with melon-rune-freak maybe if it ran in a shojo magazine, it would have continued...ah the world may never know...all in all well worth my time...more so than some other series that are still running in the triple digits with no end in sight....(fill in your own blanks)...so much potential wasted!! Just found this on a thread discussing manga that were cut off while in publication. Considering that, it sure has a graceful ending. Komi Naoshi could easily pick up from later.
Even though it was cut off, still read it! It's good!
I can't believe this wasn't popular, though. Perhaps it was the art style? I don't know any manga with a similar style. I'm tempted to mention Kingdom Hearts though, because of protagonist's spiky hair.

This seemed to have alot of potential. The plot is the same, save the world sort of plot, but the hero and heroine's situation was unique. (I get this weird feeling I am going to start finding a lot of manga like this one.) I was mainly interested in
I would recommenced this manga to others because it is still a good read.

why the villians made Troy in the first place.
I really do hope Komi Naoshi will be able to return to this manga. He managed to end it pretty well, (with the cancellation), but it left me with so many questions about what happened, who were the villains (can't help being suspicious), and does you know who die? We were about to go on a journey to discover all the answers and they cancel it! I'm very disappointed by this turn of events. I would recommenced this manga to others because it is still a good read.

How on Earth could the jap. people not like that series? I mean it's well drawn the pictures are unique and the story is freaking amazing. It's a pity that no chapter will be scanlated anymore. But I'm looking forward for new series from the author of this series.
