I think its still a good manga even with its constant repetition of the plot. I guess the only reason I keep reading it now is to see just how it would end, how strong Inuyasha can become and just how cowardly the nemesis is. I recommend this for those who like a bit of gore but not in a serious tone. The art is good and comical at times, with the plot progress even sluggish through certain period but don't let that throw you off. Its a good manga once you get into it, and although there are indeed better manga out there, you will eventually run out of them and come to this.

I admit this is one of my first manga series I started way back in HS and I have a love/hate relationship with it. The main problem is that I found almost every other relationship more compelling than the weird love triangle and so many pointless side arcs to nowhere. I feel like it would've been much better if they cut 250 ch down and we could finally deal with the villain much sooner than 50+ vol.

Another problem was that Kagome isn't much of an interesting MC other than lolexams and sometimes annoyed by Inuyasha. We don't get what motivates her other than saving the world and some snarky comments. In the entire series, I can't even name if she had a hobby or why she had friends. So her personal character development fell by the wayside and we had side villains with unique backstories that had greater depth.

Inuyasha is what introduced me to the world of anime and manga. It was so beauiful and new back then. The beggining chapters were done well. Good story, well, mediocore at best but it had a great feel and sense of effort in it. I managed too read a couple of chapters at the end and i can tell you one hundred percent that its a piece of crap.The ending was horrible. everything about it felt like crap on top of crap. No effort to tell an actual story was even being made. Horrible... Just horrible.

i love this manga!
and kagome is one of my all time favorite female leads.
Well i love all the characters, and it is a really fun manga so you should read it!

Inu yasha will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first manga I saw and read and also what made me so in love with mangas. Maybe if I hadnt seen it, i could have been one of tjis persons who talk bad about mangas without knowing about it for real ( i doubt it though). I get really angry with those type of people.
But if you want to decide whether to read or watch it... ( watch out! Now a little spoiler) I particulary love the anime a lot. When I read it I was really angry with how they did not kiss even once
But it is still really funny and cute so I suggest it!

I fall for this one when I watched the anime,
but I was so shock when I got the Manga,
well, I dont like the drawing, and dunno why I cant into the story while read it..
but Inuyasha Anime version is still one of my favorite.
The anime version was so great and I think MUCH better than the Manga.
Sunrise is really somethig for being able to bring this Manga into a Great anime!

This was one of my favorite animes and when i read the manga i loed it even more. My only request is that Kagome sould have gotten some more love. She did alot for him. The least he could've done was gave a heartfelt confession and a make out session or something Lol

so what if they haven't beat naraku. I think naraku is what makes this manga great. when naraku dies the manga will die. this is the 1st manga i read the villian doesn't die until the end. naraku kicks azz. this manga has been funny sad and thrilling at the same time and will be upset to see it end (sry about my choice of words). If the manga kept ongoing without naraku i don't think i'd read. So you ppl know nothing!!! The reason you keep reading is becuz of the final battle. why be so quick to see this end. when i read about the final battle even tho it's not really the final battle I be like man and they were so close. It makes us wonder how will they beat naraku? what will they do? We won't know until the end. And I hope that never comes.

I would have read this, but there are just too many chapters, and the plot got kind of repetitive.

The action is fine but feels like is just there to feel the void of the romantic story (in my opinion at least), problem is you don't really get great action since the only one who knows how to fight is Inuyasha, and the romantic part is SO incomplete.
Without spoilers, when I read the final chapter and moreover, the final page, I just wanted to kill Rumiko Takahashi SO BAD. I felt like all those literally hundreds of chapters were a huge waste of my time.
