I honestly don't understand why this is so popular. I admit I kind of like the main demon female, despite being an inconsistent character, but the story is so rushed and (even thought it's drawn well) the panels are just not placed in a very coherent order. The plot is boring, predictable, and cliche. Oh yeah and the main male lead is an angsty idiot. Some hero he'll turn out to be.

...but for mostly the wrong reasons I'm afraid. Firstly though, a mention of the artwork, It's maybe as someone else said - a little 'messy' in that it can be hard to define the forms sometimes, but the sense of style is really excellent, and as soon as you see one of the color panels, you realize what a talented artist Ichtys is. For the story and characters though, it's another matter. I've read around 150 pages of this and have seen one stereotype after another in a totally cliched tale of good redeeming bad, with the exception of the Demon Queen, who is just completely unbelievable - her behavior makes bipolar disorder look like a slight mood change. The combination of heinous mass-murderer and cutesy wuv-struck self-improver was just so wrong it was where the laughter started I'm sorry to say. I hate dropping a title, but this is one of those I'll just have to.

The art style is kinda annoying, abit old fashioned and unrefined as far as I'm reading right now. (Perhaps it improves in later volumes?) The hero is annoying in his single mindedness and his overoptimism. It gets a bit tiresome how many times he speaks of his belief that "everyone whether monsters or humans should live happily together ever after yay." even when he's in the middle of a battle where hundreds of humans are being killed around him by monsters. I get that that's your personal believe but think of the timing before splurting that out geez. The story fluctuates between being relatively enjoyable to damn annoying (mostly due to the hero's actions and words) and I guess the only real reason i'm reading it now is cos my other mangas are slow to update.

Really, really good manga. The beginning is great, i couldn't stop to admire the art(All main characters, mostly Sira's). Plot is exellent, I really like it very much.
So You just should read it! ^_~

Art is eyecandy. Story is cute and light and enjoyable to read. : D

well when i first read the discription and rateing i was like"Sweet a demon queen falling in love with her sworn enemy this should be good"

i just started reading today and i was expecting a decent manga but....whaddya know it got worse and worse,i mean seriously i can understand a wicked demon toying with it's prey but for the relatinship to go that fast? and what that weak demon said was abit anti-cinematic seriously how the.... did this manga get a good rateing!
the ony reason why i didn't give this a one is because i've only read the first chapter and it's sucking sooooooooooo bad right now.

I really like it as well but Im not sure I will like the ending because this manga looks like one of the manga where the main character will die if you know what i mean,

I would have loved this manga if not for one thing : MC Prinicipal view (in other words BullSH*t)

The male character has this annoying trait which albeit few other Shonen heroes share, "I can't kill coz all lives are valuable" BS

according to the MR.Hero of this manga Rapists, killers, Murderers etc are all EQUALS and deserves the same treatment (aka morality Bullsh*t galore)

Seriously this manga had sooo much potential, when i read the synopsis abt a Hero and Villain teaming up and going along a journey i was excited and some of the fans even told me that the Devil goes through alot of character development but how could i even reach that point when this OH SO GHANDIAN MR.Hero is there to annoy me at every page with his oh soo BS Philosophy

how i wish the MC was just pure badass dude minus all that morality bs i am sure i would have loved it more

Story = Unique , about Mighty Queen who fallen in commoner
Art = Worst, Shoujou-ish style ( see Gantz/Yotsubato, Beserk and Dorohedoro for best Art )
Platform = Medieval + Fantasy ( read Claymore/Beserk for best reference )

Why STUPID ? Here's the case ;
- This person (she/he) anihillate "over 1/2 population" people and monster of the world -

The Reason :
- For opening a manga or background story, its TOO MUCH! Its ridicilous and propeterous !
- How he/she do that ? 'cause later this person is easy to be hurt, poisoned and defeating enemies need a strategy.
- What she/he kill of 1/2 population of the world ? an old man? a kid? a rat?
- How it can be accomplished? Posion, a bom?
- And how long ? A month, a year ?
- And what about a village, a country or a kingdom ?
- Even worse her/his identity remain mistery, by the rest of people and monster, and by the hero whose parent been killed!

This is very ridicilous, made me wondering those question above and write this so people can understand how "garbage" this manga is.

It would be nice if the background story like :
- a world war between human, monster, demon, etc and she/he is the only survival and the story begin after that -

I have read many manga and there is no hero nor enemies could accomplished something big, only with simple background character for their char. development/

She's demon queen so it happened! ( from where, planet seiya?)

How did this get published exactly? I've seen better stuff on Smackjeeves for crying out loud.
The art is aright(albeit very mediocre) but the pacing and panel layout is a complete mess. The story is nothing but clichés and cheese.
