I'm looking for a story where the main character goes back to the place/land where he was born. For example, he leaves the place/land when he is young, and comes back after many years.

If possible, I would like to read something with action and fighting, but romance is fine.

Vinland Saga kinda... it hints that sooner or later the protagonist will go back to his home for a bit
Vagabond musashi does go back home once
Kaze No Stigma (novel) this is most definitely the best type of example that i can think of
Naruto yes... this too is a good example
Ubel Blatt this is sort of similar because the protagonist comes back for revenge...
Love Hina annoying manga that i read all the way, but a pretty good example... too bad i wanted a strong main character
Historie the part where he goes back home...

ubel blatt - the main character leaves not at the beginning of the story but sometime before the story. he then returns and so the story happens
