does any body know a manga where the main charecter
has just had a horrible and fucked up life, i mean they have been through some crap, but not only that they decide to do something about it and make there weakness there strength and fight back at the world thats against them.

the more violence the better, drugs, raped, abuse, almost killed, murderer or just simply hated by the world.

also i'm into seinen/psychological art so thats what im going for.

EXAMPLES:

SHAMO

Suenobu Keiko has a few pretty fucked up stories. They're shoujo, but I reccomend Vitamin and LIFE, god seemingly hates both the heroines in those stories.

I also reccomend REAL, I don't really know about "Horrible and fucked up" but there are a several characters whos lives take rather bad turns.

Edit: as a tip, theres a few more shoujo's that come to mind when I think about your request so I think even though you're wanting seinen, a shoujo/tragedy route would yield better results.

Definetily Berserk after reading it for a while you realize how tough his life was, and is, and will be...

Monster
Gunslinger Girl for some character but you'll discover it quite late, not good if you want a fast story.
Elfen Lied sort of
To a lesser extent I'll try also Shin Angyo Onshi, Kurogane and Kurozuka.

i checked out the recommendations from dark nova.
i see where u were getting at and thank you for the help
but it just wasnt as hardcore as i was looking for, Real was a little better. but i mean i want some hardcore in-depth trauma involved that f's with them where ever they go and the art style has to be at least seinin, psychological or at least shounen-ish.

i have read beserk b4 thnx 4 the help tenzen
but its too long hahaha but jesus everyone keeps telling me that i would like it so i guess i just might start reading it.

Monster- good idea i actually saw like 11 eps b4 i might continue watching it, or do u think the manga is better?

gunslinger girl- i tried to read it seemed a little slow paste.

elfen lied i actually completed the whole series smile

shin angyo onshi- i read the first chapter, it doesnt seem as serious as i am looking for.

kurogane- i read 2 volumes but lost interest.

kurozuka- now this looks interesting

thanks again for the help.

but pleeaaassee give me some more if you have anymore ideas

also

Ikigami is another great example

Monster - I didn't watch the anime, but usually manga are better and since Urasawa is such a great storyteller I'd go for the manga.
Yes, GSG is slow and if you want a fast series it's not the good choice (I only recommended it since I can't think of anything more horrible of what happened to some of the girls).
SAO becomes serious quite soon if you try to go on.

Other suggestions.
I think Sidooh could be what you are looking for, but I only read 1/3 of first vol in library so I can't be sure.
And well Battle Royale. I really think that manga is quite horrible compared to the novel, but still if you can't do comparison could be a good choice (but if you can read the novel, I'd go for the novel).
Ubel Blatt is another good choice. If you don't mind the main char looking like a little kid, it's quite a good manga (classic fantasy story of betrayal/revenge, but still quite good).
Ares is a shounen but still gives a seinen feeling. Not too fast, not too slow.
And lastly if you want something a lot disturbing try Toukyou Akazukin, but don't complain to me after. biggrin

okay
lets see
i already read battle royale novel, manga and seen movies.
very good try though!

Ubel Blatt, really? i read the first chapter i wouldnt expect it to be that hardcore, i guess there is only one way to find out!

Ares, i probably wont read i just dont like the art.

toukyou akazukin- i actually read this before but dropped it after a while becuz i lost interest.

sidooh- i read the first chapter but i didnt continue it, the art didnt really appeal to me. but good shots and once again thanx for the advice.

basically the maincharecter just needs to be fucked up in the head and traumatized by a horrible life, thats the most important part and i would prefer the art to be seinen.

Have you tried Ichi The Killer ? I think it Really fits your description about seinen/psychological, and f-up lifes, well I love these kind of manga too, and this one I recommend is one of my favorites, beware as it is extremely violent (tough I don't find it soooo violent but whatever).

I could also recommend Priest, a classic amongst the seinen ones, and the kind of hero you're lookin' for. biggrin

I second Leosten on Ichi the Killer. Usually I'm not into the more violent manga, however this one was very addictive. Sounds like the kind of thing you were after, cause this guy is really screwed up.

i second ares, may not be as hardcore as you like it but the war scenes are done very well. the art will grow on you. it's the style of the mangaka (plus, it's a man-hwa)
