something where an character is supposedly weak but then gets backed into a corner one day and then starts ripping peoples faces off. please nothing like hyde and closer. The main character can't be a wuss. also, no shoujo, or shounen-ai

The Legend of Maian - the main male lead is everything but a wuss imo...
Freezing - I guess it counts, but I didn't really like the main protagonist.
Hellsing - more like mentally weak in the beginning, until she starts literally ripping off someones face...

Ruler of the Land is all that I can think of. Everyone thinks the main character is weak (including himself). But isn't really weak but possibly strongest. And goes off to kill ppl. There's also a side character that fits the profile perfectly. But I won't spoil any further.

The male lead is a wuss in maian... not the glasses, nerd kind of wuss, but still a wuss since he's scared of even fighting... And I don't think he'll ever rip ppl's face off. He's too nice. Same for freezing...

Psycho Busters' protagonist's latent power is the ability to
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Screw with time, probability, and other such things until he gets the result he wants. Like, the single falling shingle that manages to knock away a projectile that would've otherwise caused a dead end. Good stuff.

Starts off a little wussy, but then the surprise wears off a bit.

Immortal Regis mebbe - he learns what he's capable of as the manwha progresses, it's pretty good, and I wouldn't say he's a wuss.
