I just recently finished mx0 and thought it was an awesome manga. im looking for a manga that is similar to mx0 or has similar characters

Hmmm. Well it's hard to find one very similar since mx0 really a unique manga. It was one of my favorites and a lot of people were angry that it ended so suddenly.
The best one that I can think of that's somewhat close is:
Mahou Sensei Negima!

i've been a long time mx0 fan as well.
been hoping they would release a sequel but i guess it isnt happening.
though a few manga have resemblances to mx0, not too many of them have created the same comical & clever protagonist put into such an interesting plot line.
however, you might want to checkout Iris Zero, which came out not too long ago.

I think that Tenkyuugi - Sephirahnatus is very similar it has the whole card thing but there are only a few chapters out

i've also seen a lot of people recommend Mahou Sensei Negima! on mx0 recommendation threads, but somehow i just can't find myself reading that past volume two. I'm not sure why, i loved mx0, but just couldn't find myself interested at negima.
I've also seen people recommend Rosario to Vampire and immortal regis.
Rosario is interesting at first, but the plot just doesnt seem to be going anywhere.
Immortal Regis has lots of super natural elements similar to mx0, such as a school to learn 'special abilities', i think the scanlations were kinda slow so i ended up forgetting about it.
I recommend Historie as well, though its similar to mx0 in a way that both manga have clever protagonists placed in impossible situations.
anyone else have some suggestions?
edit: Angel Densetsu has similar themes as well. Action comedy shonen manga where the male lead is recognized as "a monster" or "the strongest" when the truth is he's actually not as strong as what everyone thinks.
Can't stop laughing after the first few chapters.

It was exciting to watch kuzumi taiga past the magic exams at use his wit to bluff his way out of situations. I still havn't found a second manga that really highlights that theme.
