Just got the full set of Tokyo Crazy Paradise day before yesterday (in Japanese of course). I'm hoping that someday I'll actually be able to read it....

Quick count tells me that I buy 30 different series in English. I'm one of those people who stops downloading after the series has been licensed. I have a lot more in Japanese, though...but I have no idea how much...

I buy manga I like whenever I can, but I have to special order most of them unfortunately. I have... *thinking* 39, but I really want more. You always want more manga. =] I cannot wait until Christmas, because then I will have a little cash. My family members always get me Barnes & Noble gift cards, for this purpose.
I read A LOT online, too.

I've seen a lot of mangas coming to minimarkets and stalls near where I live. So this tuesday I had nothing to do while waiting a train and went to nearby stall to look for something to buy. There were about 6 different series in sale there. I picked up Hellsing vol. 2 just to see how it would look like in paper media and to support the industry, although I already have read the whole series in scanlations.
It was nice to actually have the book while I read it, but I have to say that I really prefer the english scanlations to the "official" ones in my language. They just sounded a bit ridiculous to me.
Maybe I'll start to buy more of them, but I think I'll buy the english versions next time.

Absolutely. I believe in supporting artisans. However, I set a budget, and I won't buy anything until I've at least read a little of it (whether through friends' copies or scans).
And yes, I keep scans for series that I purchase because amateur translations are often more accurate.
Short related rant: I wish US booksellers would seal their books in plastic like Japanese/Taiwanese booksellers. Kids keep damaging books they don't buy, and what the heck is an eight year old doing reading Battle Royale volume 12? If you've read the earlier volumes, you should be buying the later volumes; or go to a library. Don't ruin books that other people are collecting. Ok, I guess that wasn't so short...

i only buy mangas that i have read online i really think that it is important to support the manga artist so i try to buy as many as i can afford (kudos to buy one get one free sales^^ ).
i have no source of income but over the span of 3-4 years i've managed to accumilate about....<goes to count> 51+ U.S. lisenced manga volumes. So, answering your question, yes, i buy manga, but i can't really purchase as much as i want b/c i dont really have any money ....

No. Because I don't earn money yet, my education reqiures quite a lot expensive books and stuff and it is hard to find something decent in my city anyway.

If I had some cash and could find a decent place that stocked something other than one volume of Sgt. Frog, then maybe, but sadly that is not the case and so, no.

There are no stores that sell manga around where I live.
I usually place orders for manga once a month.
