This manga is absolutely adorable! I was wondering if there were anymore mangas out there similar to this storyline? The protagonist is chosen as one of the 3 guardians to protect earth from invaders, and she's partnered up with an alien (who is a freaking cute stuffed animal) that turns into a human when their lips touch. I guess I'm interested in the mangas that have the main leads needing to work closely together/intimately.

I was also interested because the drawings were great. But sadly, this is one of the very few works that isn't yaoi or shounen-ai by this mangaka T_T.

Have you tried Otome Youkai Zakuro by the same author? The concept is very similar, the style is just as cute and the romance is strangely prominent for a subplot.

That aside, you may want to check out Youko x Boku SS by FUJIWARA Cocoa. The premise shows resemblance to the other series, but a couple of volumes into the series, the story takes a compelling, more plot-based direction. You could take a look at this mangaka's other works, too.
