I'm pretty sure it was Chobits... which isn't a bad manga to start off with, although the next few I read after that definitely paled in comparison.

Wait, Chobits isn't technically a shoujo, is it? I always get that one confused...

Maybe Hot Gimmick, then... if Chobits doesn't count.

Either Imadoki or Vampire Knight ? Just randomly picked one from the library. Had no idea what manga was at that time.

Red river biggrin wink (when I reread the English version I found out so many "hot" scenes which has been cut in the version I'd read bigrazz)

Zettai Kareshi

I really liked it when I read it. But concerning almost every other shoujo manga I've come across since then it's a case of 'once you've read it once, you've read it a thousand times'. Because most shoujo is the same on so many levels that it's boring.

Kamichama Karin.
Haven't finished it yet...

EDIT: Wait, I'm starting to think it's actually Tokyo Mew Mew a La Mode.
Either one of those two.

My first shoujo manga was Sailor Moon smile I read a few volumes when I was five or six years old. I even knew it was called 'manga' and came from Japan smile But I think it doesn't really count.

The first manga I've read as a 'fully aware' m&a fan was Takamagahara. I liked it at that time, but I'm not going to read it again because I don't want to spoil my memories smile
