Don't take it TOO seriously... It's a fluffy light read w/ 110+ chapters

If you don't pay too much attention to the corny medical details, this story has some upsides. Having such a capable, kind, lovely, and smart heroine is such a breath of fresh air. Having no cat fights between different ladies is another plus. The series doesn't just end when the main pairing finally kiss. For once, the female character is anything but a crybaby, and crucial plot points don't fall on the men. The main characters are considerate of each others' feelings, and are willing to eventually confess their love freely. She reminds me of a more feminine Mulan. She may be frail, but she's got a lion's spirit. This series subverts a lot of the toxic tropes typically found in a shoujo series, and I welcome this change.

While there are definitely narrative inconsistencies with the story, this manwha is important as a whole. This series is a wholesome role model for girls, even if a lot of the details are pretty unrealistic. The MC is too perfect, and everything goes too smoothly... Although her accomplishments are extremely luck-driven, the takeaway of the story is to be kind, loving, and dedicated to helping those around us. And that's always a good lesson to be reminded of.

I actually rather like this one

This story is set in an alternative universe during the Crimean War (called “Crimm” in the comic), with the male lead in the role of Queen Victoria (but genderswapped sort of) and the female lead as a sort of Florence Nightingale. The female lead has lived this life before but was a horrible person and was executed. She learned to be a doctor during her second life in Korea as a way of atoning. But when she dies in Korea, she is able to return to her previous life to live it again.

There are a few things that could be better in this comic (the costumes can be terribly inaccurate, even for an alternate world setting). But I really like how this highly intelligent character is unable to overcome her preconceptions about what will happen in this life. Unlike many isekai leads, she remembers this life and remembers her execution and painful life with the prince. Her attempts to avoid that life make sense to me. She fears becoming that person again even though it is clear to everyone that she is nothing like that woman anymore. She is unable to see how much she had changed things since her self image has not caught up to reality.

I do agree that Elise can often be too perfect, but her abilities as a surgeon aren’t the actual conflict in this story and don’t need to be creating tension, so it doesn’t interfere with the plot.

Overall I find this story quirky and enjoyable.

Was alright in the beginning, but forgets it's premise and horrible world building.

It starts off with her bringing medical knowledge and revolutionizing the field of medicine. It basically follows through several historical events like epidemics and other medical events in our history spun to fit their fantasy world. Which is kinda cool.

However, the world-building is very inconsistent. For instance, she's a surgeon so it's required that antibiotics exist (and thus was "invented" by someone else in fantasy past) otherwise you couldn't do a modern surgery. However, the medical professions of the time while acknowledging antibiotics, also believe diseases are caused by Miasma instead of Bacteria. That doesn't actually work out. Then theirs an epidemic that can be cured via antibiotics, but everyone conveniently forgets it exists so that they can go detective John Snow on it.

The world build is all over the place and falls apart the longer the story progresses. Then at one point Magic suddenly exist because why not. Then stupid things like miss perfect decide to do open heart surgery on a non-urgent patient while she's sick with a fever because also why not. Then I guess the author realizing that he's not a doctor throws out the entire medical premise and it becomes a pretty boring romance story.

Honestly, it was ok until he ran out of ideas, introduced magic and turned it to a very generic romance.

It was good, being that the MC is a doctor this story was mostly about her journey and accomplishments in that field, which frankly isn't all that interesting, but it wasn't boring.

Nothing really annoying in it, just her not saying what she wants to say, for no real reason.

Also the last chapter was a bit confusing and therefor annoying, i mean

she kept comparing this world to Earth like it was a different realm, but then her reincarnation visits her mansion 150 years later and says she is from Korea, so that would mean that this was Earth after all and that magic actually exists.

I loved this manhwa and I’ve read it 3 times already.

Rather than based on reincarnation, it is focused on redemption.
Elise was Elise but initially she acted like a bitch, was found guilty and issued the death penalty by her husband/ ML, reincarnated in an orphan in modern Korea, where she studies and becomes a renowned doctor but during a plane crash she returns again (long before she died) and redeems them by behaving well, helping with medicine.
Many events are carried out well considering that she already knows many events (for example how her brother dies) and helps by giving advice and opinions.
Reading is beautiful and never boring.
The length (143 chapters) is perfect for this story.

Perhaps the only thing I would have liked to see are any children between FL and ML.
Even the situation of the last chapter where the girl (who before was Elise) goes meets a guy who looks like the ML would have been nice to see her developed, even if that minimum just one or two chapters...

I really enjoyed the design.
I don’t feel like giving a higher score of 8.5 because in my opinion there are Manhwa/Manhua/Manga that have more delicate stories and that deal with topics that few dare.
Here at the end of the day is always the question of the villain who has a second chance (or who himself goes back in time or a person takes his place knowing that he is a villain) and redeems himself.

Pretty good in the beginning, but then is got super draggy

I had typed up a long comment, but then stupidly changed pages without saving so now it's all gone. So.

Not retyping, great in the beginning, but then MC became a bit mary-sue-ish with a martyr complex and I don't care anymore. Toss in a reverse harem sort of thing (though one upside is that the men are more mature than most reverse harems and know when to push and concede) and now at ch100 political fighting. gah.

art is super pretty though.

Cute but...

It's cute but kinda boring. Nothing has really happened plotwise. It's just Elise being tested as a doctor, but she's already a genius doctor, so there's no real tension. Every other plot point has been hinted at, but nothing has come about. You get the feeling that it's just part one in a long journey, which is both exciting and depressing. Especially for my wallet. At least the romance is progressing already.

Elise herself is the biggest obstacle to making this story truly enjoyable. She's just so...mature. Those three (albeit short) lifetimes she's lived really shows. Live a little girl. It's like l'm reading about an 80ry old nun.

Medicine = cool, romance=boring
by MatrixM

Written at ch 110:
The medicine part of this is interesting. I'm a doctor, and it's mostly accurate and relevant, though using a cholera outbreak is a bit cliche by this point (but, hey, I guess it's historically accurate at least). honestly it's a bit unbelievable that a surgeon would retain that much general medical knowledge, but I guess if she studied everything like crazy rather than just studying surgery like crazy, it's......maaaaybe possible. (or she just has a really brilliant memory even for a doctor)

The romance parts are just...blah. Boring. It's like a worse version of the romance in Accomplishments of a duke's Daughter (where the romance scenes were really good but the main story was blah for 3 books)
Unfortunately romance becomes a focus from ch 70 or 80 onwards. Like up to ch 110 we're still romance focused and it's just such a drag I can't go on. Maybe I'll come some day.

If it were just medicine and politics/war focused this could be an 8. The romance itself is like... a 4? So idk what to rate overall..maybe I'll go a bit under 7.

Oh god, and I just remembered the magical component. Out of nowhere and for no freaking reason at all, there's some degree of magic in this world. There are knights that use like qi or something to have increased physical abilities. And the royal family that for some random reason has an undefined magic they can use to great combat effect.
It's completely unnecessary, the story would function almost the same without it, it adds nothing....And yeah, it honestly brings the rating down. So I'll go 6/10...maybe

Oh! and it's needlessly a harem series with 3 people in love with her eventually. The other two would honestly have better served as characters if their feelings remained platonic. (tbh, I'd prefer the main guy's feelings remain platonic for longer, too) Ok Imma bump it down further.
But the medicine is interesting

Boring

A one dimensional Mary Sue in a silly world.

If you don’t care about the story and want there to be no real difficulties for the protagonist, then this might work for you.

In the first place, the whole conflict in the story is between her being a doctor and an Empress, like an Empress actually has a job and can’t just be a doctor 90% of the time.

And for those 10%, she obviously should do it because she freaking knows the future.

It is also killing me she knows there will be a plague in a large military campaign, like every single military campaign ever and she warns them to “prepare” and it works… what ?

Art is pretty nice.
