I watched the anime series before reading the manga and found it to be one of the funniest series i've watched so far.. (i started to watch anime/manga just recently..)

The Manga is as funny as the animated one giving depth to it all.. The last ep of the anime lead me to believe there would be more episodes to come.. that's great.. since i've read the manga to the latest scanlated chapter with enthusiasm.. And there is the thing i have a small nitpick with the whole scanlated manga.. Before chapter 132, the quality of the scans was great (thanks yanime and UCRumble!) but after that the scanquality has deteriorated very noticeably.. I know Townsocks is doing his best releasing stuff as a one-man/woman(?) project with tight deadlines.. But really i'd rather have clean, high quality scanlations than crummy, rushed ones.

cant understand why manga has so high rating? people rated this acoding to first 5-8 volumes?
at beginning manga is really funny, plot is interesting to follow. but not for long. last 12 volumes have plot story that can be sized in 5-6 charpers. and the end is just a throw of a shit to a face from mangaka.
this manga is just wasted time. if you wanna to try it, try first 8 volumes that just drop it

I may be the only one of my friends you like this manga... But I think it's great! It's one of the few manga's I laugh out loud to! Though there are times when it can get a little shallow... But that's one of the reasons I like it!

The new coming of Urusei Yatsura!

One reviewer mentioned Maison Ikkoku in comparison to this series. However, to me, the series reminds me a lot how I like the 80's excellent Urusei Yatsura (from the same author as Maison Ikkoku). School Rumble is refreshingly different from a lot other school love comedies. Instead of focusing on few main characters, the story spreads through out several characters, giving them more dimension. It feels more lively and has the vibe of friendship and love -- like they are also our friends. No harem (although Harima is loved by a few girls), no fan service. Pretty much the same reasons why I love Urusei Yatsura so much.

The story can be a bit drag at times, though. But, overall, it's one of the stories that would stay dearly in my heart for a long time.

Nothing makes me laugh more than this manga (and the anime too)
There are a lot of characters, but since the manga is all about school and the students, it works out great. The characters themselves are really amazing too. I love all of them
Storyline's just .. about school life and random events centered around the students, and it's totally unpredictable.

The SR anime is probably the best I've ever seen. The voices are perfect for the character (imo) -- the music, and everything.

If you just want to laugh and don't give a crap about the plot (is there actually a plot tho lol) then I highly recommended this one lol

This is the first manga I've encountered (I was still a baby otaku tho loool) that made me laughed without feeling sad or whatever. Heck, the stories here doesn't even make sense lol but it's reallyyy good and highly recommend it lol

The relationships are infuriating at times but the humor generally makes up for it. Art is kinda mediocre. It shines at times but mostly it is just serviceable. Very slow advancement in plot from chapter to chapter though character growth does occur. Half the time I find myself pitying the bastards and the other half I find myself wanting to strangle them. All in all, it's the pure humor that puts this barely at a 9/10.
