During an eclipse, demon Lord Exoda. C. Crown was revived. He is supposed to bring chaos and destruction to the world. The world is panicking, and as a sacrifice to the demon lord, they decide to send 1,000 girls to the demonic island, Shina Dark. However, in Shina Dark, all the legends are lies. Exoda does not sleep with 10 girls a night, and keep the others prisoners. He does not lust for girls, he does not want to cause mass destruction - he simply wants to live in peace. This is a decent series. I think it is funny that Satan is some normal dude and everyone thinks he is the worst. Pretty good so far, need to give it time to see if it gets really good.
Funny, slightly ecchi and certainly not a very common story premise. If you're just in it for a few quick laughs and some (very slight) drama, then Shina Dark will prove to be an entertaining series. Still, I'm hoping that the second part of the series gets released soon - the "cliffhanger" they left off with doesn't need an urgent resolution (heck, it came out of the blue), but a story needs closure, ya know?
I usually hate all harem manga (other than some Tenchi and a few others); with the whiny, bumbling protagonists that all the girls seem oddly attracted to and throw themselves at. But I actually like Shina Dark. The first thing I like most about Shina Dark is the fact that the girls are actually independent and have some degree of intelligence and not complete morons who bend over backwards for some stupid oaf who "breaks out into hives when a girl touches him!!"
I admit at first I hated it because I was a little disappointed that Satan wasn't a smooth ladies man, but eventually I started to like how he is really powerful but would just like to be left alone in peace.

This series is simply amazing. It introduces a positive fan-service and displaying emotional scenes that depict the life of an all powerful. The fan-service is a plus that ties together a fantastic story with scenes that make a reader want to cry.
Well, it´s always like this, "dumb weak looking guy" --> very very strong
but whatevery, doesn´t that red-haired girl look like Shana from Shakugan no Shana? (well with G-Size-Boobs)
But it´s worth reading and hilarious "It goes against the beauty of battle if you fight the boss first, lets start with the middle boss"

i was starting to like it, but o well, it doent seem that it will ever continue and i've been waiting for a very long time, so ii wont recomend it to anyone, not because it not good because it is, but because it doesnt seem to have a end

While it hasnt played any major roles, Shina Dark does infact have a hint of Romance. It dosnt appear until the final chapter of Volume 4 (Chapter 20) but it does occur. You see some brief scenes with Satan and the 2 princesses and then a bit after where they both realize the other likes him then declaring they wont loose to each other.
The end of volume 4 marks the end of the first story Arc for Shina Dark. Hopefuly we'll be seeing the next stage and finaly some true story unfold with the hopefuly upcomming chapters.
[Note]:It isnt 1000 princesses, its just 1000 women from various points in the world, 2 of them are infact princesses as far as i can tell right now. Also there is a plot however due to the way this manga is organized it will unfold in arcs, the first 4 volumes would be considered the first arc.

I felt the story was okay. Not terribly strong, but better than some, and not hard to understand. The fanservice... well, I really don't pay much attention to that. The art style is nice. My one complaint: Why don't they just stick with "Maou-sama?" Why try to translate his name at all? (For those who don't know, "Maou-sama" means "demon king.")

It was pretty good for 1 chapter, the plot was clear, The main character wasnt a loser(I know! it totally suprised me!), and there was girls. Wat more can I ask for? It was good read ^^ hope more releases come out soon.
The first part of the chapter was kind of awkward. I had to rush the editing of the first part because I got lazy and that was a last minute thing :/. For the record, I like my verticle typesetting for some of the small text, Hmph And the proof I used to typeset seem to be version 1 and not version 2 <_<;;.
