Yeah, it's true. It was so real for me. The depth of emotions of Shima, wow, just simply wow. You that knot in the stomach that you feel when reading something beautiful, romantic, angsty stuff in manga? I sooo felt it. Ah, I just love this. It was so realistic for me. I hope the mangaka would continue this and make more chapters and volumes. I want to read more!!! Togawa and Shima are so cute as a couple. Add in Onoda and that makes it even more interesting hehe! So anyway, I loved this and recommend it. Every yaoi fan must read this.

I loved this story because it is different for what usually is done in yaoi. The characters are not plain, the story is not predictable, there is a lot of emotion going on and you are irresistibly dragged. One of my all time favs mangas, I´ll look forward for more works made by this mangaka.

gotta say this is sweet so far I've read the 1st chap and it looks great the art is VERY nice the guys look like guys and it's building up to be a great love story...(I hope)...looks very promising can't wait for more!!!

I am always absolutely in love with Yoneda Kou's work. They're so lovely I really don't have appropriately exuberant enough words for them.

I loved Shima's deadpan sense of humor whenever Togawa teased him. They had good banter between them!

It's such a sad story at parts. Shima can't have the things he wants (a family, children) just because he's gay. It makes me mad enough to cry, honestly. What stupid and damaging laws people have...

Shima was so sad trying to do the right thing, and Togawa was so sad when Shima basically told him not to be ridiculous, that what they had wasn't anything at all.

And this is I think the only thing I've read where the jealousy is more of a small joke than anything else (and it's done in a silly, funny way that's not ridiculous).

Okay so this is the first time I've ever appreciated a Yaoi this much. Probably because I've never really read Yaoi, and the few that I've read were just smut. Now I want to read more, keke.

I dont remember having any sort of amusement when I was reading this. Maybe it is a personal grudge against the art; or maybe it was just not my personal preference; but this story felt flat like other yaois out there. Too flat. I like her works in general, her way of telling stories is amazing. But not for this. it's just... the usual.

I wonder why everybody praise it that much... for me, it was on the same level as the usual yaoi-plot...

Beautiful art and meaningful plot, this is what I can sum up about Doushitemo Furetakunai. Although the story is short, the characters are well-developed and very likable. Above all, there is that feeling of love which is hard to describe. A fleeting and yet passionate kind of love, one that never fails to captivate the readers. For me, it is truly a feast for both the eyes and the soul!

So cute!!!! This is a great manga, not just a good yaoi manga, but a good manga in general. It will make you laugh, cry and love the characters. The plot was pretty generic, but it was executed really well, the characters were all developed and original and the the romance is adorable. This is a must read manga

Quite great so far.
A simple/complex relationship with people with messed up and sad pasts...
I love it and it's sad pace... Seems to be me it's heading towards more sad moments, and I'm anxious to find out more.
The art is very good.

I don't really have much to say about this manga. It's good but kind of forgettable. I recently saw a live action version of this manga, however, and the live action is honestly amazing! And not just by live action standards either. Seriously, go watch it!
