Hi recently there has been some romance anime/manga I've been watching/reading. The type of manga I'm looking for is a slice of life romance but more specific.

Well I dunno if it really fits, since your requests are quite specific...
there's this one I just started, and annoyingly hasn't been scanlated to the most up to date chapter but seems quite interesting: Six Half, not sure about the "big cast" but there's definitely a "something that hurts" and possibly "unrequited romance" there.
Or there's the still relatively recent Ao Haru Ride of the same author as strobe edge.

Mucha Kucha Daisuki - very cheezy like guy is head over heels to the girl but there is something more
[m]Boku o Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu[/m] - SImilar to Mucha Kucha Daisuki but the ending is a major cliffhanger
Hatsukoi Hakusho* - this is a compilation of oneshots, but it's very good especially the 2nd story
Heart no Kuni no Alice - reverse harem with a slice of mystery and action
Kingyo Sou* - defeinitely a must read of a different kind of shoujo romance (YES THIS IS DIFFERENT)
Koi Shitagari no Blue - similar to Kare wa Tomodachi
Hana to Akuma* - definitely Bittersweet
Moe Kare!!* - fits your description very much - it hurts, love triangle, love that doesn't seem to work out (has a minor smut)
Kono Koi wo Wasurenai. - STORY 3 is a must!

* are those that are definitely must read and capitalization are a must too!
