something different and really impactful

so i'm really tired of reading typical shoujo for the moment. Don't get me wrong, i love my shoujos but they're all really typical - i'm talking about the ones where their eyes are too cutesy and all the characters are good looking, regardless of what people say in the manga. These mangs are also good reads, but just nothing special...

I want a manga that's different, something that's really impactful and once you read it or finish reading it you just sit there and can't believe how much of a difference it's made. I don't mind old drawings, in fact I love the older style drawings and the drawings that look really different but have a lot of emotion. Preferably a manga with romance and slice of life, but not a big deal. Aspects of psychology are also really interesting too. Some examples of mangas like this are:
Oboreru Knife
Glass Mask *__* my all time favorite
Six Half
Basara
Kare Kano (shoujo but really impactful)
Red River
Cat Street
Mars

Any recommendations would be much much appreciated!
Love you all, Thanks

Completed:
Hana no Namae One of my favorites, and it had an impact on me.
Meteor Methuselah Different
H2O Impactful? ...
Hana wa Knife o Mi ni Matou
S no Kaikoroku Maybe too different ...
Escape from High-School Girls Very Different.

Ongoing:
Love So Life Slice of life
Kubera Different
Pochamani Different/Slice of life

Idk I struggled with the impactful part, heh. These are all different ... at least to me. I hope these fit what you're looking for. Oh and all the above is a romance.

Ah, I love Glass Mask too! I'd love it even more if it'd update! T__T

I'll recommend:

Completed
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan - A pianist who plays for a person on death row.
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou - This is a beautiful slice of life. No romance, but really impactful.
Aria - Another slice of life. Also no romance, but incredibly beautiful friendship.
Otoyomegatari - Gorgeous art apart, it describes the culture of a nomadic tribe, and the protagonist Amira... wow!
Solanin - A realistic portrayal of a young couple.
Nodame Cantabile - Beautiful story about musician students.
Saver - You can skip the first volume, which is a bit weird, but Lena is truly an incredible protagonist in a fantasy/adventure story.

Ongoing
7 Seeds - From the same author as Basara. The beginning will be painful, but you will eventually be rewarded with some of the best and most beautiful character development in any series.
Cheese in the Trap - This is one of the best Shoujo I've ever read, the character portrayal is leagues above that of typical Japanese Shoujo, and it uses a curious dual-timeline system that makes you wonder what the heck is going on.
Subaru - About a dancer. Once you get used to the art, the impact of the dances is quite amazing.
Choukakou - Ancient China, a young exiled princess who's decided to take back her Kingdom. Not a fantasy setting, instead it plays heavily on strategy, interpersonal politics and personal development.
Kubera - I'll second this one, the author was apparently inspired by series like Basara and Fushigi Yuugi. It will start really slow at first, but the character writing is really quite amazing for this type of series, with 10 main characters (all with their own stories) and side characters that also play a major role, plus a complex web connecting them all that'll give you a headache. It's actually better on second or third reading because of the plot density (you won't believe the amount of "clues" you've missed when you re-read it, the whole thing is structured more like a mystery than an adventure)
