want a manga where an extremely dangerous being is easily controlled by the protag in some way... i'd prefer it if it were related to romance, but pet/friend/w.e is fine as well.

anyway no hentai and that's pretty much it, just any manga where some insane legendary being would do w/e the protag wanted for almost no reason.

examples would be

Tenchi Muyou! Ryououki with ryoko and ryo-ohki(love interest and pet respectively)
and maybe kanokon and omamori himari though i'd prefer it be farther away from the hentai line for the recs XD

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san is probably the best example available(tho i've only seen the anime) lol.

In the manga there isnt much yet (based on light novel). But the "Easily controlling dangerous entity" is a legendary sword spirit (she is a spirit with really high level -> humanoid spirit)

be sure to look into(humanoid weapon spirits are one of my weak spots )

Yondemasu yo, Azazeru-san, is the first that sprang to mind. Its about a detective that summons demons to aid him in his work but summons them under stong spells so they appear chibi-fied and can't attack properly.

Blue dragon - ral grado has the mc that works with a sort of symbiotic parasite demon thing. Though he controls him very well, and the relationship is more harmonious than the example above XD.

Elemental gelade has that too...just one of those human weapon type situations where one person is the fighter/controller and the other person is the weapon. If you want more of that there's the Sentient weapon tag.

Pupa might fit...ish. I mean she is a dangerous entity and the mc does subdue her though the method isn't exactly an easy one XD. Also its gory, if you don't mind that.

Code: breaker maybe because the female mc subdues the male mc's power and stops him going berserk or kiling people at times too. This is the same set up as Gakuen Alice which would also fit but its like the shoujo, younger target audience version.

Tactics maybe because its controlling a very powerful demon...

Natsume yuujinchou? controlling the demons through their names...

Saiyuki because the mc seals his power a bit...

In terms of befriending them then Shut hell, Kimi no kakera and Shin angyo onshi

Maybe Chrno Crusade ,Kuroshitsuji and Kanata Kara.
And if you don't mind yaoi then Yami ni Tooboe, Mune ni Toge.

07 Ghost - The most obvious example is Teito controlling a god, but there is controlling of dangerous entities going on all over the place in this.

Kuroshitsuji - Ciel controls a demon.

Chronicles of the Cursed Sword - Multiple powerful and sentient swords are in this.

Pandora Hearts - Oz controls Alice

Witch Hunter - All the witches with their supporters, but I guess Tasha and Halloween are the most prominent examples.

Ability - It is not very far in but it is starting to look like it could go this way.
