Hello once again.

I've been looking thru a lot of action/adventure manga these past few days and I keep seeing these horribly annoying and useless heroines...which I obviously hate.
So I have decided to ask for your suggestion. No need to wonder if I read it or not, I have a horrible memory :3

What I'm looking for would be:
A shounen action adventure manga without the useless, naggy, useless, annoying heroine , (yes, I wrote useless twice). Preferably little to no romance at all. I don't want the plot to revolve around rescuing the protagonist's love interest or risking his life or getting hurt to save her in every battle :S
Of course, I don't mind a heroine that is a part of protagonist's ''squad'' and can take care of herself (example would be Linalee Lee from D. Gray-man).

That would be it, I guess. Either I was really unlucky in my search or these kind are rare.
In advance, thank you for your suggestions.

I have never understood why so many people dislike the damsel-in-distress sidekick. I find they usually make otherwise tedious action/shounen stories more interesting.

Anyways... there is an elf-girl in Id, but she is no less useful than any other of the protagonist's companions.
The main girl in Hoshi no Samidare is much more powerful than the protagonist.

I know exactly what you mean, chiaci! I hate those annoying women (or in some cases, men) who have to be rescued by their friends / lovers every single chapter dead I can't even understand why anyone would want a friend / fiance who does nothing but get them hurt or put in awkward positions no

Anyway, recommendations! ^^
Get Backers - There are a few women here, and while they do sometimes get rescued, they are not the least bit weak; neither physically, nor emotionally.

Veritas - There are a whole bunch of tough women who know how to fight pretty well.

Black Cat - There's a female MC, but she's plenty tough.

Shin Angyo Onshi - I haven't read this, but I've heard that the lead male's female side-kick can fight well.

Dangu - Another strong female lead.

Vinland Saga - Mostly men here, but there are one or two fairly strong females as well.

Vagabond - I think...but I haven't read it so I can't be certain.

Edit - Thought of not mentioning these since they seem obvious, but I guess I should; Hunter x Hunter and Fullmetal Alchemist

Edit #2 - A full search of my lists helped me procure a few more you might like;

+C: Sword and Cornett , Shirogane no Ou , Teikoku Kyoudai , Ransetsuki , Rappa (SASAKURA Kou) , Kagerou Nostalgia , 07-Ghost , Jinjuu Houretsuden , Akusaga , Madan no shashu , Gin no Yuusha , Silver Diamond , Tegami Bachi , Trigun Maximum , BioMega , Chicago , Anuki , Terra e... , Jojo's Bizarre Adventure , Peace Maker , Shoukoku no Altair , Vampire Hunter D , Saiyuki , Guin Saga , Jormungand , Black Lagoon , Yamikagishi ,
Yugo , Zanbara! , Pineapple Army.

These ought to keep you busy for a while biggrin

how about claymore ??

at first the heroine is a lil clumsy, but she becomes stronger after a couple of chapters!
i think its one of the best manga i´ve ever read!!

I hate females like that!!!

I second Shin Angyo Onshi. Bad ass female in that one, and there's no romance between her and the male lead (though there's a little romance in the series)

Glad to see you liked my recs! smile

And, emboldened by your praise, I've found some more titles you might like! laugh

Historie , Kyou kara Ma no Tsuku Jiyuugyou! , Are You Alice? , Macaroni , Neko Mix Genkitan Toraji , Gintama , Yasashii Ryuu no Koroshikata , Amatsuki , Ares , Izayakaku.

Also, if you don't mind old-fashioned (and rather ugly ^^) art, Eroica Yori Ai wo Komete makes for a very amusing read.
