something similar to Yasei no Bara where character is friends or even romance with nonhuman, could be a living object, plants, i don't mind demon and ghosts but prefer something more unique.

mx0 has a wonderful little mandrake in it.... but you have to wait a bit for it x.x.(and don't get your hopes up for a good ending. Its still a GREAT manga imho, but there is no denying its axed ending)
to love-ru also has a plant(somewhere near the middle) along with ghosts and aliens
midori no hibi she is technically human, but she replaced his right hand so idk if she really counts as human anymore >_>
immortal regis personified sword... although he has died and been zombified by that point so itsmight be more nonhumanxnonhuman.
zero's familiar again a personified sword, but this one doesn't have as much focus on that relationship compared to the previously recommended ones
chobits idk if you would consider androids less or more common then demons/ghosts tho x.x
kandachime personified weapons with ethereal forms fricken everywhere.(gotta say I don't like this one as much as the others I recommended)
shinigami trilogy idk if shinigami(death gods) are abstract enough for you, but this manga was great imo

I saw this one today in the "What's New!" section: Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou. I haven't read it but it seems to fit the bill and has a high rating. Also I would really recommend Kanata Kara, it's one of my favorites. It's not as far-fetched as the one a previously mentioned but it really is very cute.
