i of course thought this would be a classic clique harem manga but im glad to say i was wrong. yes while this is still that time of school life harem manga, it is more of a comedy manga to me. this series is really funny especially the main character and his "unfortunate circumstances". so far im three chapters down and this keeps getting more interesting and funny so i hope it continues

Personally, it is a funny manga yet it had a good plot. It had a funny MC who had no experience in relationships get into trouble thus getting into 4 girls at once. I was really looking forward to this manga really becoming a success in terms of ratings and such but for some reason it was cut off. The ending seemed forced, it was like a gold digger just stopping halfway and never getting to the good part. I only wish that this series had an ending that it deserved.

I'm only commenting cause I think this series deserves much more praise and attention than it has now. This is pretty much an Harem like no other... It's difficult to explain, but you have different heroines and they all have a "substance" which is something missing from almost all Harem manga. They only make heroines for the sake of being heroines, but here they are really unique. All of them have a reason for their different personalities and it feels realistic, they have their normal side which they show to everybody, than they have the side that they only show to who they trust, which sometimes is a bit dark, but it's understanding
But the problem in this series is that we won't see those "reasons" cause this manga was pretty much axed, so seeing the background stories won't be possible, but this work is so good that you get satisfied just knowing that there is something in each of the girls.
The protagonist is really different from the cliched one, normally you get a pervert MC who likes "ecching" all the girls while they like it(even though they say they don't). The MC normally is a pussy that gets all the girls and all, never thinking about their feelings, like "oh well, I slipped might has well grope something" or "it was an accident", in this manga what you get is a really stand up conflicted guy, that always tries to make up for the "big" mistake that he made at the beginning, always putting the girls at ease, he even does moves on the girls only when he thinks that they will benefit from it. Who ever reads this, trust me the MC is excellent like no other you have seen.
My explanation doesn't do justice to this, this is really good. Just like to think why the editors wanted to end it with only 3 volumes when this had the potential to be a Masterpiece among Harem manga...

This manga could have reached heights of idiocy that some rom-com writers can only dream of reaching.

I kind of liked it, unlike a normal harem manga, he's actually in a clear relationship from the start and to top it off he's 4timing four girls at the same school and trying to keep it up with each of them without letting the others know that he's dating other people. However, this mc doesn't even want to 4time, he actually hates harems and is into the shoujo-esque 1on1 style with all that includes. There's also some supernatural elements. The most supernatural thing of all however is how he can manage to not get exposed when he's dating 4 girls at the same time out in the open and they even meet each other now and then. I found it somewhat hard to immerse myself because it felt so impossible, but if I really, really, really REALLY stretch the word "plausible", it's acceptable. I wish it was a bit easier to believe, like the girls not meeting now and then or that they went to different schools, but it's fine as it is I guess, even though I keep getting that nagging feeling of "no way that's possible even in fantasy" feeling.

It's unusual and quite amusing. The romance is somewhat deeper than usual in a harem manga because it can barely be qualified as a harem. He spends time with each of them alone and because they don't know about the others, each relationship develops like it would in a "normal" love story, only that he shifts between girls.

What screwed this up was probably mainly the rushed ending and forced plot.

So... yeah... It's worth reading, but the ending sucks so keep that in mind. It was enjoyable enough even then, but instead of being worth an 8, it'd go down to a 6-7...

Not really related to the review, but I found the words really amusing that one of the girls had written down on those little things they write words on to quickly review them when they have time... I mean, seriously... Was that really what the author wrote? If so, either the author has no fcking idea about what words would be good to review, they're also just in middle school... Oh, and either the translator or the author wrote both words down because they were too complicated/unusual. The words were superannuated(the word was incorrectly written as superannulated, pretty much means obsolete/something that is retired or ineffective due to age) and antediluvian(In the manga misspelled as antidiluvian, something that happened before the flood in the bible or extremely old/old-fashioned/antique)...

I can assure you that if you learn words like that, no one will understand you It's just some of those words that are pretty much never, ever used. Even if you do learn those words, it would be around university-level in a language-focused class. The author thought it was suitable for a japanese person to learn in middle school? Just shows how bad the author must be at english Probably wanted her to seem smart so he searched for "hard/unusual" words that he didn't understand himself and just put them in as is without understanding how embarrassing it is for him to anyone knowledgeable in english because it just shows how he has no clue yet added something like that, haha. Well, not knowing it is not bad in itself and that happens a lot when you learn a new language, you say stuff that sounds really weird to inhabitants and use words that just aren't used. It's just that it was done in an official manga that can't be changed and will be showed to everyone, not just a few people. It's better to take safe bets in such situations. Well, I wonder why this was so memorable for me

Grim Reaper and Four Girlfriends review.

The series is about a No-lifer boy who meets 1 of the grim reapers. A middle schooler looking girl (because Japan), who intends to take his soul since he's a no lifer there will be no one missing him. Even though he has parents and since no depraved backstory was shown I'm gonna presume they are decent parents. So to convince the grim reaper to not take his life he tells her that he is going to be a lifer as he intended to confess to a girl. The Grim Reaper backs off but says she'll give him 1 day to change his life around.

So the male lead confesses to the girl of his supposed dreams and to his surprise she says yes. All Four of them. In his hasty attempt to save his own skin he left a love letter to 4 girls but all of them have said yes. Now he needs to keep there relationship a secret and he can't break up with one of them as undoubtedly rumors would spread reaching the girls he is currently dating.
Now he needs to keep this up for 3 months (The time limit the Grim Reaper has set) but what is 1 guy who hasn't had a single friend much less a girlfriend supposed to do.

The series is surprisingly fine despite the relative serious tone and demeanor. The idea is that he could die at any time but there is a lot of great meme material to be had here. Mostly because anytime more than 1 girl shows up he pisses his pants and needs to deal with this situation. Which was very funny to see. The comedy was actually one of the stronger points in the series. It wasn't excessive but there was still quite a lot of it without it feeling the author had no way of dealing with serious issues so he just threw a bunch of jokes (which usually works for some reason). The manga felt well paced in that regard.

All the characters were incredibly wacky in there own fun regard. One's Horny, one's sadistic, one's a tsundere, the other is a yandere. They all have these ridiculous stereotypes while also being funny. The yandere especially was both terrifying and adorable. Which i guess fulfills the category Yandere. The male lead was also quite enjoyable to watch. Mostly to see how to get out of these insane situations. Part of the fun was the fact that he was a big shoujo lover yet become a harem character. He became the thing he swore to destroy. His self depreciation jokes and personality were spot-on and I liked that part about it.

Another thing the series did well was the actual romance part about. It did step forward in the romantic element. Don't get me wrong he is a scumbag (though with understandable reasons) but at least the author actually took that step.

Its quite sad this series was axed. The ending is really bad. Overly rushed as it were. It took a lot of the right steps and it looked it was gonna become something special. Yet it just kinda ends and feels bland. I didn't like how they resolved everything. Mostly because they don't explain jack-shit. Though the first twist was good.

TLDR: Steps in the right direction but the quick axe leaves a lot to be desired. 6/10

i love the background story for the girls, art is good, imo nothing bad i can say

This was a manga that clearly had a rushed ending. But it was good enough to keep my interest all the way to the end.
The fact that the MC was one of that plain-face nobody that we used to see in harem manga/anime but that itself a joke that manga even jokes about. The girls are somewhat okay I only wished those had better development.
The concept of the manga was better some other harem manga, which made sad for me that this could have been better.

predictable, characters are all common tropes, plot is basic, the most heinous crime of all however is the logic. I try not to fault the author but it seems they are too detached from real human interaction. its trash.

Jandalmans review is kinda correct. This manga is so bland but had the possibility of being something else, the mc seems like a nice person but being nice is not enough, a watercress sandwich is nice as well. Couldnt read more than 1-2 chapters. Its so bland. Art is not enough to get you to read further either.
