EDIT: Finally, the story has reached its end, truly an enjoyable manga, its a piece of art, really gore nonetheless, but i loved it, the manga ends the most logical and realistic way, sadly im still longing for the Aftermatch stuff, which i hope will come soon, damn... its over

I saw the anime long time ago, i was incredibly touched by the way this anime was made, its a fresh experience and left me touched for years to come, the opening song, Lilium is absolutely beautiful, recently i read the manga, its a crude manga, buts its an incredible masterpiece, from beginning to end ur hooked, personally i take the echi and gory parts as the way the autor would assume this as reality in a case like this, reality about a murderous magical being would just be gory beyond imagination this manga has a rough gory representation of this, i ABSOLUTELY love this manga, the story is solid and its hearth touching, cant find anything bad about this manga, im simply touched every time i read it and analize it. 10+

The natural state is naked, animals are naked around us, yet christians pay no mind to the fact.
I apologize if there is a christian sect that i don't know about that doesn't make nudity taboo.
Anyway, I'd give this a 10/10, because the plot. I don't really care for the Ecchi part, what's the point? Just go find some H stuff...

The anime is by far one of the best series out there, no matter its short length. The manga may not be as artistic, but it gives further insight to the story, and continues where it left off (or, it will at ch.61). A must read for any fan of the series, great plot, and character interactions between Lucy and Kota are great! Overall, it has everything: Keeps interest (plot), Romance, Ecchi, Comedy, SciFi/Action/Drama, Gore. Just...amazing

If you read the first volume of this manga... you will think this is seriously fxxked up manga because of blood, gore, and nude.
However it's volume one... so reading on it gets interesting.

This manga is majorly reflexed with 'Discrimination' with a horn on a girl's head, named Lucy. People with horn on head are called 'Diclonius' and they have a invisible arms that are very fearful because in manga Diclonius killed a lot people for as ripped them in half with their arms. Yep, this is why I said 'fxxked up manga'.

So because of the horns this girl was lonely and the story added with love, misunderstand, and betrayal. This is why I love this manga with the concept of 'Tragic with vague hope'.

I want to stop here and recommand other people to read this manga. Just don't stop and volume 1 or 2.

Although I have to give 9 because of too much nude appeal and that was not necessary in my opinion. But again, I love the story of this manga. So please give a try and don't quit in vol 1 or 2

This manga has an amazing story that touches on the complex issues of love, war, morality, and survival. It also has plenty of solid character development; most of the characters are touched by love and war. There is a lot of gore, but it fits in perfectly with the violent setting of the story and highlights the intensity of the conflicts.

I can't talk about the manga anymore without spoiling it, but I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

If you ever watched this show you know how it ends, but sadly enough they didn't keep it true to the manga and left may holes in it. This series fills the gaps that the anime created and it also continues on after the anime ends to show what happens after Marico.

In comparison to the anime, I would much prefer to treat it as a totally seperate verison - similar to what was done with the FMA series. Although ending of the anime itself was much like Evangelion where you are left with a cliffhanger that just messes with your head. Although I'd like to think the anime is more centered around digging deeper into the human psyche and what we would do under deseperation and the value of love rather than the result of the human race (the manga).

not much of a plot but the action is very good so if u love lot of blood and heads and all that good manga and i love all that

I thought it was GREAT! The plot was unique, the gore was good...I JUST LOVE IT. The reason why i didn't give it 10 out of 10 is because....dont kill me....the art was as good as some others ive seen...some was kinda rushed...but i bet i cant do as good as Okamoto Lynn! =D Im only up to like...chap 47...i cant find 47 onwards!!! but o well...

I got bored of the plotline, there no interesting plotlines, just some gore and even that gets old.
