Honestly..

I am not a big fan of this series. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this series is terrible, I'm just saying that personally, I wanted to kill someone while reading this.
There's quite a few things depressing about this series but you can read about all the dark psychological issues in other posts... What I want to talk about is
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
HOW MANY TIMES SHE GETS KIDNAPPED. THE NUMBER IS RIDICULOUS! Every other chapter is being kidnapped, I mean seriously, she's like the new queen or something of a country and yet she's being kidnapped left and right. How BAD must their security be? 'Ah, yes welcome to the country with the worst security in history.. To your left you will see the queen being kidnapped.. AGAIN. Don't worry she'll be back in a couple days.'
It's just too ridiculous for me to take seriously. Yes, there is all that depressive crap but I find that less concerning compared to how many times she's been kidnapped. It's like a hobby or something I swear.

So yeah... The art is alright I guess, pretty but kinda stiff. I cannot, no matter how hard I try give it a high rating... And I don't even want to recommend it, but it's up to you.

Not my cup of tea!

So I've read this after putting it on hold for a long time and honestly saying, although it's a dark romance story, I feel kinda irritated with the characters. I repeat, not the story, but the characters. Especially the two main characters. I know Jay is a head strong person or whatever but the fact that she kept on backing out from her love for Jarte and hurting him makes no sense. It's like in the story, they get together then off then together again, like COME ON!! make up your mind!!

And then there's Jarte. Whatever that's going inside his mind is a mystery. The fact that he kept on doubting Jay's actions is tremendously stupid. Although half of the fault is Jay's but still! Especially this one scene (I won't give spoilers!) that I hated so much. But at least the ending is a happy one. I never cry reading this manga, maybe because I was pissed off the whole time I was reading it.

Anyway, if you like dark romance stories with angst then this is for you. And just a reminder, if you ever see anyone that looks like your bf or gf flirting with another man or woman, don't believe it until you see the real scene with your own eyes.

Well...there's lots to say

I had kind of a hard time getting into it at first. It didn't seem very original with the whole royal marriage thing... But as I continued, it did have an addicting effect due to the high level of dramatic events.

But first I have to say something, what is it with koreans and european royalty/super rich and cool celebrities? Really? I live in Europe, and I can assure you none of the princes are like THAT!
And even in kdramas there is always some kind of famous singer or actor with lots of money and big cars. Are they that obsessed with it? Come on! That's one reason why I'm starting to dislike Manwha.
Another thing I absolutely hated about this one were the photos of europe they used. And then they even tried to put the drawn characters in them? That totally didn't work, it was awful to look at.
The amnesia thing was pushed too far for me, and I agree with others here about the amount of drama. I like angst stories, and up to a certain point, I really felt with the characters, but in the end it really wasn't believable anymore. If you drag on the same problems over and over again it gets really, really old and absolutely unrealistic. They should've gotten over their 'constantly hurting each other' earlier, and the writer could have made up another problem if she still wanted to go on with the story. There are plenty of other complications she could've found. It annoyed me when they were so horrible to each other chapter after chapter with no promise of any of them of getting over their pride and childishness. Grow up!
And I just don't like it when every guy that shows up falls for the girl. What was it, four? That's pushing it. It's practically harem.

Now for the good part: despite all these shortcomings, it was very addictive and very intense. I enjoyed most of it until the end, and I'll probably remember this story. And the art, which is quite important to me, was very beautiful too. Usually I don't like manwha art so much, but this is one of the better ones.

I recommend to read it, because the basic story is very beautiful and intense, quite unlike others (once you cleared the first chapters). It could've been better though. It just all kept getting darker and more painful, I feel there was no room for the more complex human psychology that not only focuses on those things. They could have had deeper and more intricate personalities, evolving more noticeably and more quickly in time.
And please PLEASE, DO NOT EVER USE PHOTOS IN MANGA/MANWHA EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
And Koreans, get over your european prince/super star complex.

It seriously can't be that hard for two people who Love each other to be together. That was just ridiculous! All the trial and tribulations they faced really made me think if being together was worth it. I mean, it really shouldn't have been all that hard. Cinderella my ass! Cinderella didn't have to go through that much sh*t to be with her man smh
But Anyways, I liked the story besides all the unnecessary drama. The art was amazing!! Truly loved it and the story wasn't all that bad or "dark" either. Sure some of the drama and the psycho-ness could have been cut out, but it worked out in the end didn't it? lol
GO read it =]

I was completely addicted to this manhwa as soon as soon as I read one chapter of it. The plot was well-developed and isn't one of those sappy love stories.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I liked how the male lead, Jaret , fell in love with the female lead, Jay first because almost all the stories I have read, always the female lead falls head over heels.
From the beginning, I thought that this manhaw was your regular, Cinderella story but I was wrong. As the strong progressed, I was shocked out of my wits. There was so much drama and the story became very psychological but I still loved it. I was addicted to it and I wanted to keep reading thinking about what was going to happen next to this couple. There was so much emotion and it shows how a relationship can turn out in many ways. It was intriguing to me how the characters developed in this story like
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Jaret becoming possessive of Jay and Jay becoming crazy at one point in the story.
It was heartbreaking when reading some chapters as love went to hate but at least it showed , love conquers all. Though many don't like too much drama and psychological stories, I like reading those types of stories once in a while. I liked volume ten when
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
each shared their point of view and emotions through their experiences that they went though
. It shows that you can never really understand what one thinks of one experience and I liked it because this is where Jay and Jaret have an understanding between one another. I also enjoyed how the story became light and happy near the end and I loved the ending. The art is stunning which is something else that I like. The characters.....were hot. Nuff' said. Especially Jaret! After reading this manhwa, I cried and also laughed. There were some aspects that I disliked like
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
how many male characters such as dangerous mafia leaders fell for Jay as soon as they met up with her.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed this manhwa very much and that's why my rating is a ten. I recommend this manhwa to anyone looking for a good series to read that is not one of those chessy, typical mangas/manhwas.

Very Dark :O

This manga was intense, such twisted love that I could not stop reading. Throughout the plot, they are driven mad with passion, lust and intensity that almost cannot be matched. This is completely a pshychological romance. The difference between giving this a ten is because they were missing abit of plot in the midst of intensity. But I didn't know if they should have or should have not ended up together throughout, as their passion was distroying them both, as well as others around them. I highly suggest this for people that enjoyed Kare Kano after the 1st half (dark), not the beginning . Though, I'll admit that this is even more intense.

This was a very good story. Even when i felt frustrated for their misunderstandings or lack of communication, i couldn't stop reading. I think the biggest issue i had, was that it took too long for things to unravel between them. I would have wished at least some volumes where they were at least secured in their feelings, while crazy things happened to them.

fast paced story / breathtaking art!

if you're a bit older and am bored of the average shoujo manga, this one is for you.

the beginning makes this series seem innocent and shoujoish but you'll soon realize there are a lot of mature undertones that come up later on. i admit the middle was a bit draggy, but overall the story was really well done. it's very fast paced--so you have to keep up.

but what makes this my favorite manhwa series is the art. wann's drawings are absolutely GORGEOUS--she puts so much detail into her works. even the clothes are so stylish! i forgave the draggy parts solely because the characters were eye candy. after you read this series, you'll get really spoiled with manga/manhwa art.

However the story is, well... too much. I mean In 11 volumes you don't get a single break. It is overly dramatic on every point, and you feel like life itself has something against them. But the story is very well depicted, the characters are mostly believable, the art is good, and the romance is also well done. So more than a 8.5, but i couldn't give it a 9 since the pace is way too fast. No transition chapters, it feels like everything just falls down on them. And I didn't like that.

While reading this, I discovered the difference between love and obsession. I mean Jarte was obsessed with J, to the point where he wanted to kill her.

The only male I liked was Ewan. I mean he is the reason they broke up, BUT he quicky changed into a nice guy, and realied that the only one for Jay is Jarte and the only one for Jarte is Jay.

The worst part was the middle though, its like all these thing happen in 1 secpnd. And boom, they broke up. But then they figured out they can't live without each other and blah blah blah.

BUT the one thing I must say is, YOU MUST BE STRONG. You have to prepare your heart for ALOT, and I mean ALOT of tragedy. Don't think this is a cinderella story because its not.

It's very far from cinderella.

Its filled with obsession and tragedy, with a a little bit of rape, and attemped murder.

And remember this is a Psychological manga, so don't expect this as a light shojo because its not.

The reason I gave it a 7 is because of the matureness in it, and it is a bit too much for light-hearted readers like me.

Just remember the warnings I gave you.
