I grew up on japanese anime like Oscar , Sailor Moon and I have always had an appreciation for japanese humor , art and such. But now I feel most mangas lack unique character design and art. Also the bright , glazed over colors have begun to seem bothersome.
Can anyone reccomend a manga with a unique style of art that isn't too realistic or too generic. If it has a fashion or architectural aspect to it, I'd love that.
My favorite genres are mystery/puzzle, horror, romance and action.
Is anyone familiar with Tasha Tudors' art style? I am looking for something similar to it.

I have already heard of it, and I don't particularly like it, but I thanks anyway.

Maybe something like:
Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku
Or maybe:
Piano no Mori
More indications like genres and examples of what you are looking for would help a lot.

Maybe something by Yuki Kaori such as Ludwig Kakumei.
Also manga by Yazawa Ai has the fashion aspect you're looking for.

I just started reading Jabberwocky, which has a really unique "look" to it (and the story is tons o' fun). It might interest you.

But now I feel most mangas lack not unique character design and art.
Do you want to say that they lack or don't lack unique design and art?
Many mangas don't lack relatively distinctive art style and chararacter design in my opinion. Just look at the recommendations above. As to generic, it can be bad but not always. I don't care whether it looks generic or mainstream. As long as it doesn't look ugly, I am fine. I heard about Doll Garden and tried to read it. But the art was... The story was not my type so I didn't continue. Such happens in a lot of mangas but people still like them. To each their own... Akihabara@DEEP's art might look generic to you, but I'd pick it over the Doll Garden types. Hope I didn't rant too much.
I can't say that I am a huge fan of it, but I think the art of NANANAN Kiriko is perfectly acceptable. Weird? You could try it. It's unique but you won't find much fashion or architectural aspect.
I second Music of Marie for perhaps architectural aspect.
For fashion aspect:
Naked Ape
Chevalier
Monochrome Factor
Mother Keeper (can have architectural aspect too but most chapters are not scanlated yet)

I thought of that one right away. Seconded for unique art and storyline.
Yamanade
XxxHoLic
Wish
Yuki Kaori . Count Cain has great, detailed art based on the early 20th century. Angel Sanctuary is epic in terms of artwork and plot.
Emma
Masca-A bit more mainstream at first glance, but the art is really worth checking out.
Bizenghast
Petshop of Horrors and Shin Petshop of Horrors.

I am sorry for the miss-understanding, I forgot to get rid of the "not" after I re-phrased that sentence ._. and I know whatr you mean when you say that different peopel see art differently. When I bought Dolls by Yumiko Kawahara I didn't think the art was paticularly unique but it was very pretty nonetheless and I thoroughly enjoyed it . ( The great storytelling helped also)

There's a mangaka you will probably be interested - MIHARA Mitsukazu. A lot of her works have been licensed in English. Her art style is unique and fashion-oriented.
