I'd like to have a list of every single shoujo or josei from 1979 and earlier that's been scanlated or released in English.
Manga from 1980-1985 can also be added if you think they use the typical style and feel of 1970s shoujo.
Here are the ones I know of:
Akuma no Hanayome
Futari no Melody
Hoshi no Harmony
Kaerazaru Hyouga
Miriam
Niji no Ikusa
Ouke no Monshou
Shiroi Kageboshi
Shiroi Mado no Mukougawa
Suna no Shiro
Swan
The Change!
Eroica Yori Ai wo Komete
Glass no Kamen
Oujo Alexandra
Patalliro!
Banana Bread no Pudding
Georgie!
Pansy
Candy Candy
Kaze to Ki no Uta
Nordiska Sonata
Orpheus no Mado
Poe no Ichizoku
Sakura Namiki
Seito Shokun!
Thomas no Shinzou
Versailles no Bara
Yokohama Monogatari
Claudine
Oniisama e...
Maya's Funeral Procession
Natsu e no Tobira
Juuichinin Iru!
Shiroi Heya no Futari
Pharaoh no Haka
El Halcon
Nanatsu no Umi Nanatsu no Sora
Andromeda Stories

You can used advanced genre search.
shoujo- "at least one release" - sort by year
shoujo-"completely scanlated"-sort by year
Licensed pre-1979 shoujo:
Eroica Yori Ai wo Komete
Swan - Hakuchou
Akuma no Hanayome
Juuichinin Iru!
Hebi Shoujo
Cyborg 009
Ribbon no Kishi
You can repeat the search for josei titles.
Love Me Darling is a parody of 70's shoujo.

Der Freischutz and Z. They are not listed on MU database, but scanlations exist (though Z isn't fully scanlated).
Pygmalio
Matsumoto Yoko's style reminds me to shoujo from 70s era.

They remind me of 70s shoujo somehow:
Fredward-shi no Ahiru - great 70s art, great touching story, human interest
Fushigi ni Romance - i love this shoujo manga. So shoujoish
Lady Love - about ballet, check out the author as well!! I love Hiromu Ono
Minmin!
Family! - light comedy, great story!
Fostine -1978
Chizumi & Fujiomi - 1979
Anything by YAMATO Waki!! She's a-ma-zing!! But I see you have read Yokohama Monogatari... have you read all her works?? You should if you haven't because well... personally she's one of my favorite authors XD
AKAISHI Michiyo
also, second [a]matsumoto yoko[/m] and pygmalio - I really enjoy it

Seito Shokun!
Honoo no Romance (UEHARA Kimiko), Marybell and most of UEHARA Kimiko's works.
Wata no Kunihoshi
Alpine Rose-It has the feel of a 70's shoujo manga.
The second and third manga I mentioned aren't scanlated, though.

Wow, thanks for that link, waftingwish! That's just what I was looking for. I didn't know you could do that with advanced search.
