Gender Bender Manga

Lazy Programmer Member 3:16 pm, Aug 8 2010 Posts: 10	I have gone through the gender bending list a few times. I haven't read them all but I have a reason. I am mostly interested in actual bent genders. I am not really a big fan of cross-dressing. (unless you count someone's gender being actually changed and them then dressing the part, cross-dressing). I know there are some good cross-dressing manga like Magical×Miracle, W Juliet, Mai-Otome , and the like. But I am far more interested in manga like Gacha Gacha - Secret, Jinzou Shoujo, Metamo Kiss, Tokage, Futaba-kun Change, and Asuka Hybrid. Mature content is perfectly fine, but not required. I am running so low on these type of manga that shorts like Kanaete Aizen and non-translated manga such as TransVenus (content warning), are fine as well. As long as I can find them. Please include a short description or a link to it here on MangaUpdates (or anywhere as long as it has a description).

By true bent gender I assume you mean physical body change. 1/2 Prince - The main character is a girl, but takes the identity of a boy in a virtual reality game, which is where the bulk of the story takes place. Orange Chocolate - the main boy and girl body swap Dou Danjo!? - another body swap Click - boy becomes a girl when he turns 16 Kakumei no Hi - boy discovers he's actually a girl Return - male spirit inhabits female body And I second Ranma 1/2.

Seen Nyotai-ka before (I cannot get a hold of a copy). 1/2 Prince is on my to read list. Sekirei is on my to read soon list. I heard Prunus Girl was cross-dressing (but it might be good, so) EDIT: Nevermind, reread the description, its getting put high on the to read list, thanks! Orange Chocolate is new. Cool. Anything more? I already got surprised with one.

I'll only put the ones I've read that haven't been said: No side - Soul swap. Family Compo - Transsexual assistants. Boy Alice in Wonderland - It's kinda confusing, you might not want to read this. Ichinensei ni NacchattAra Sekainohate de Aimashou Kunisaki Izumo no Jijou - I believe it happens only in the oneshot, but the rest of the series is a good read, too. Wadatsumi - It happens in the latest chapter. Bra Girl - Hermaphrodite. Conveni-N - Gender change happens later. To LOVE-Ru - Gender change happens much, much later. Otome no Iroha! Clear Up After Rain Kedamono Damono Laon - I haven't actually read this one, but have flipped through the pages, so I might have gotten it wrong. Divine Melody Boukun Tyrano-san - Male dinosaur takes over a high school female's body. Seijou Kouchakan no Jijou Alice on Deadlines - Scans are incomplete, finished by Yen Press. Okitsune-sama de Chu Birdy the Mighty Akane-chan Overdrive - Soul swap. Strange Mansion - Transsexual. Hime-chan no Ribon Colorful - Magical girl. Boku no Shotaiken Change H - Male to female, female to male. Hermaphrodites? Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru - Gender change happens later. That about all I've got that hasn't been said already.
