It can be a yaoi manga or a normal romance manga with a male and a female (no yuri though please!!) I am looking for a situation where the main couple gets separated for a long period of time (about 2-3 years). Maybe they moved away, changed schools, I don't care. The thing is that I don't want them to just be reuniting at the beginning of the series. I want them to leave around the middle of the series (it can be a little earlier or later). I just want to see them together before one of them leaves. I love it when they finally get together. I don't care how long the manga is. It can be extremely long or short (but not a oneshot...it must have more than 1-2 chapters). I haven't read much of that but I really love those moments. Two people become friends (but probably want to be more) and are separated. Then they finally meet again a few years later. I love it! If it is a boy x girl couple then no smut or ecchi please. Oh, but if its yaoi then I don't mind any...erotic scenes (yaoi fangirl here ) but it doesn't have to have them. Please help!!!

Please check out Hana to Akuma, it has a looooong progression of the relationship and towards the end there is a seperation for a few years. I loved this series!

in one of junjou romanticas stories a couple gets seperated for one year because the one guy went to america and the other guy is really upset because he didn´t about the trip

Cat Street - They weren't a couple before separation, but I think at least one was in love with the other.
Gokinjo Monogatari - The girl leaves to study abroad, but comes back.
Mademoiselle Butterfly - Married and then separated by war.
Solfege - It's left ambiguous whether they get together at the end. They've been apart for so long that, though they loved each other, it might be too late.
