hello everybody, I'm wondering if you could tell me manga/s which:
1) tells a story about a journeying man.
An adventure, if you like, but not quite like cliches manga everywhere with an MC who is 17 y.o. and very stubborn, talks so much, naive and whatnot.
A good example would be like Shin Angyo Onshi and berserk. Shingeki no Kyojin and Claymore are also superb. They have distinctive artworks.
I prefer seinen above all, and the story might as well be realistic, not childish, if you know what I mean.
2) is a story of retaliation
What I mean here is a huge change in MC, from timid to hot-blooded because of certain circumstances.
a good example would be Crime and Punishment and probably Shamo. An Antihero, I might add. And once again I prefer seinen.
edit: 3th, 4th, 5th request, since it will take unneeded place if I made another thread
3) A good story about a male mc who can't find love. gets rejected, sees his crush with another girl, has no girl/s who is interested in him, (yeah I like to torture myself).
Since I'm bored with the mainstream harem theme.
4) A story about a man who cares so much for his family he would do literally anything even the extremes. By family I mean parents, siblings, children, etc. (not family in crime)
5) The Samurai Period. Perfect example would be like Vagabond. Realistic, no superpower whatsoever.
Thank you in advance, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Dorohedoro has a lot of the elements that you're talking about. It takes a little while to get into the main action but it is really good (and somewhat graphic).

hm nothing for your seinen preferences, but perhabs Rurouni Kenshin? could also fit 2nd request, because of Kenshin's cruel personality that sometimes comes out when fighting. If not, but the theme is ok, try the more mature version: Samurai Deeper Kyo.
or perhabs try Nabi? hard to read though, because of the massive plot development...
for second:
Mirai Nikki, after some time (sadly it really takes some time) he gets serious and a bit badass^^, well and Yuno is a case herself really good if you wanna see some characters who change (mostly from normal to plain crazy psycho)

thank you for the responses
I started reading dorohedoro yesterday 2 volumes in. pretty interesting
koroshiya ichi is one of my favourite
destroy and revolution: looks promising. definitely worth to check out
kimi no knife - have been reading that
mirai nikki - lose interest after 2 chapters.
arata kangatari - I don't know.. it's too shounen-ish I guess
same applies to pandora hearts

More on the action side:
Vinland Saga is definitely what you're looking for. Also there is what you asked for 2) too, but it's not the main character.
Kurogane
Kurozuka (contains gore).
Ares art is very strange and it's maybe too shounen-esque for you, but I thought it was worthy of mention.
More on the journey/adventure side:
Ookami to Koushinryou one of my personal fav.
Monster simply a masterpiece. It fits for 2) also.
Historie this could be slow for you maybe but it's one of the best history manga out there. It fits for 2) also.
Elfen Lied maybe.
I think Monster and Historie can fit for 2) too, but it's more from a "timid or soft hearted" to "determined even to kill if necessary" change than what you asked. They still remain heroes (not anti-heroes). But they're good read, so try them if you haven't.

Journey to the End of the World
An adventure of a man.
Not childish.
Distinctive artwork.
Seinen.
I don't think it's exactly what you're looking for because it doesn't have action, but it's an interesting read.

Double Arts for 1st, shounen but not cliche
@3rd does it have to be male? because this scenario is quite common for shoujo...
