Not that I don't like the cutesy fun or even dramatic tear-jerking of a high-school or college story but right now I'd really like to read something about adults. Not adults that don't act like adults, or adults that look like children, some straight up 'hey, we are two consenting adults who want to venture on a relationship'.

The only example that comes to mind immediately is:

Sorenari ni Shinken nandesu

I don't mind if it's harsher than this or more dramatic, I don't mind love/hate etc, I just really wanna read a well written romance that's not back to back high school cliche's. (not dissing highschool cliche's, they are awesome, but just not at the moment)

Kinou Nani Tabeta?
Not especially romantic for the most part, but more realistic and deals with older couples.
HIDAKA Shoko's stories feature older, often suit-wearing men.
Naono Bohra as well, but her recent stories are mostly smut... Her earlier works have nice supernatural stories and older couples.
Definitely Yamada Yugi - she has older couples and good stories.
One of my favs, Suzuki Tsuta with titles like Hand Which & Work In
Mirai no Kioku is very good, cute, funny and hot. I recommend Kunieda's other works, too.
Omoisugoshi mo Koi no Uchi most of the couples, if I remember correctly. I really like this collection.
Some of Yoneda Kou's stories. Most of her protagonists are quite mature.
Tonari no Kare kinda but quite good.
1-en no Otoko - not bad, but not the best. The smut's nice though.

I'm sure there're many more out there, I hope'll find them~

There are really a lot, too many to list. I was going to suggest doing a search for 'Yaoi" and omitting 'School Life', but the results were just crazy. You could also try a search for something like 'Yaoi' + 'Salaryman', which will give you only adults. Anyway, here are some I like
