Hello fellow manga-lovers.
I've recently fell into a pit with, for me, excitement. I accidently found some manhua/manhwa where the MC starts of being either normal, or born into certain former "powerhouse-families" yet weak due to different circumstances. But, here's what I love:
The guy(few cases girl) starts training and makes a break-through which allows him/her development new/more power. Maybe a so called seal that dampens his powers or some blocked vessels etc.
Powerdeveloping through fights.

What I love is the sudden surprise when the next fight breaks out and he's so much stronger than before.
Dont really care if he gets stronger really quick or if he has to work a while for it.

Since I admittedly have been neglicting to update my lists, I will instead list a few, mainly, manhua and manhwa that I am reading currently with this kind of plot:
The breaker(+New waves)
Blind faith descent
Doulou dalu(+2)
Battle for the heavens
Re:monster
Tate no yuusha no nariagari
Xian ni
Wu dong qian kun
Panlong
Zui wu dao
The legendary moonsculptor
Ruler of the land
Zhan long
Ao no exorcist
Kuang shen
Shen yin wang zuo
The gamer
Sousei no onmyoji

Also planning to read Magician(Kim Sarae)

Thats all I can think of. I sincerely hope someone can help me. I realize that I've probably read alot of the manhua/manhwa that have a similar plot already so just throw manga recommendations at me as well!
Thankful for anything you can recommend and come up with.
I wish you a good read in the future!

If you don't mind Light Novels, seeing that you have Panlong, Doulou Dalu, Xian Ni, Re:Monster, Tate no yuusha, Battle through the Heavens and much more in there, you definitely like the Xianxia and wuxia type.

Definitely look through Xianxia stuff
Has the idea of "powerhouses" "cultivation" "weak to strong" "sudden power" "training" "family/sects" "break throughs" "cultivating schools"

Ni Tian Xie Shen (Novel) Really lives up to your criteria, a boy with destroyed veins. The shock factor, break throughs, hardworking, etc. Your description explains it.

If you read the manga for Panlong, I definitely recommend the Novel and its sequel although its standalone.
Panlong (Novel)
Stellar Transformation (Novel)

Of course you can look up the manga adaptation, but they never do the novel justice, Battle through the Heavens being an exception

Ok, I've been putting of novels for quite some time since I usually like the more appealing aspects of manga to not read as little text as possible. But as a former reader of 2 fantasybooks of 500+ pages per week, maybe I should try it.
I'll start with the one that you described more and which was new to me.
Thank you!

You will not regret it. Against the Gods (Ni Tian Xie Shen (Novel)) is wonderful and exactly what you are looking for. Most of the things you listed where Chinese light novels first so there are a lot more light novels out there to choose from then Manhua. I am also a big fan of that type of trope. If you find that your ok with them, then I also suggest these:

Tales of Demons and Gods (Novel) - I liked this so much I made the wiki for it

Peerless Martial God (Novel)

Limitless Sword God (Novel)

Shen Mu (Novel) - mc seems to have bad luck with women though

Law of the Devil (Novel)

Kuangshen (Novel) - This is VASTLY different from the manhua. I'm talking completely different characters and plot the only similarities are the first handful of chapters.

Kuro no Maou (Novel) - very dark and tragic

Overlord (Novel) - very dark and tragic

You are welcome to poke around my public lists for ideas also. I think I'm reading almost everything you listed...

Not sure if you like Against the Gods/Ni Tian..

Second Tales of Demons and Gods (Novel)

I've been reading Xianxia non stop lately and have two more recommendations
I Shall Seal the Heavens (Novel) - The Main character does not have any setbacks, but he is considered normal however is looked down upon frequently. His power jump isn't very quick at first, but he will gain things along the way which makes him stronger than others. The character isn't your usual arrogant and cruel person.

Martial God Asura (Novel) This Main Character is looked down upon everywhere, including his family. He does have a hidden secret/power. He is very arrogant and ruthless character however he will have the power to back it up.

They both have the idea of being looked down upon, but soon gain great power that shocks everyone.
