I'm not exactly sure if this would go here or in the 18+ considering the context. However if it dosent... any mod feel free to move it.

Anyway, a while ago I read a shounen-ai manga called complex which made me quite interested in plots that feature gay parents and the struggles that they go through. Another such story which also got my interest and also features gay parents was a manga called sex pistols (ok, so its a really weird story, but it was touching in it's own way nonetheless).

On another note, I've also read shoujos such as Ouran host Club and another shoujo which name escapes me at the moment (a smut manga as I recall about a girl with two gay male parents) which also have gay parents in the stories. I'm also quite interested to know if there are any others like this as well.

I'm now quite interested to know if their are any more mangas which have stories such as this, even if they are side characters in the plot as I am not aware of any except the above ones I've already mentioned. On a side note it dosent just have to be male parents, I'm also quite interested in plots featuring females as well but am certainly not at all aware of any stories which have this.

ok, so basically any suggestions for any genre would be great (with the exception of hentai) as I am quite interested in the whole concept of a gay parent in some context. Whether they are a main character or a side character in the story is basically irrelevant so long as they are there. Again, excuse me if this is in the wrong section but I wasn't quite sure where this belonged so I put it here.

Otona no Mondai - about a guy whose parents divorced after his father came out as gay. Now he has to deal with living with his father and his father's new lover. I highly recommend it.

not sure if this would fit but

Family Compo is about family and relationships and just about everyone in the main cast has gender identity issues . the protagonist goes to live with his cousin who's parents are transvestites, he soon gets into crossdressing as well,

Im going to add one because this probably fits. Animal X is a very good example of gay parents, to a certain extent (there are gender bender elements, but its quite a good story).

In Yamane Ayano's Koi wo Suru Shokubutsu series, the fathers of the two main characters are gay lovers. Now, the stories are completely divorced from reality and don't deal in even the slightest way with the issues facing homosexual parents...but they're hilarious (and hot), so if you like BL you might check 'em out.

hmm... hope this is ok to bump my own thread even if it is a year later.

Ive been quite interested in these type of stories again (whether it's shounen-ai or shoujo), the suggestions above were great and I was wondering if anyone would have anymore suggestions for plots featuring a gay parent in any way? thanks.
