A perfect 10? Only if you have no life

Objectively (not thinking with your penis), this is not even close to a 10. Like Oh!Great, Ken obviously has artistic talent, which is alone the only reason I'm going as high as a 4. However, as another pointed out, it mainly consists of straight male fanservice with a cliche harem theme. The characters are flat and the story is mediocre. The art is really good, but is quickly overtaken by all the other negative aspects. Like all harems, it is all about the lead male and any supporting males are just tossed aside as cruft. Sadly, interesting characters like Kotaro do not get the chance to shine. And the girls, well they are pretty much Stepford Moes.

Honestly, if what you want is horny girl harems, hentai has much more to offer you and you'll find it much more satisfying.

It's the best

I strongly disagree with all the negative comments posted up in the manga. Some of the comments were good negative comments. Most of them were just carelessly saying it's bad without a reason. I say they didn't properly read the manga, judged this manga by of the author, thought this was another "just perveted/hentai" manga from reading "Love Hina." This manga is not the same as Love Hina. I'll admit that it has perverted scenes, but it fits in well with the flow of the story. The plot makes up for it.

Like what Anabiotic_Pineapple wrote, solid character development is a huge part of this manga. It is definitely worth reading.

I would have to disagree with all the hate going around for this manga, it's actually pretty solid and waay better than love hina. As other have pointed out though, the story does seem to drag, but even still, it has some pretty solid character development. If he lowered the amount of fanservice chapters, or filler as I'm pretty much going to call it, the story would have progressed much faster. It's kind of a shame when your story doesn't end before the target demographic grows out of it.

Long story short, I wouldn't recommend waiting each week for this to be released, more like once a month, check to see what's released and read that. The current arc is actually pretty interesting and we see Negi grow more, even if the scattered warriors and having to find them theme is a tad cliche.

I am really surprised by all the negative comments. Sure, story is long, yeah there are lots of characters, and some of the mysteries aren´t solved in one arc. But that´s not bad thing people. Fact, that Negis training takes so long makes his current abbilities and his growth more interesting to watch. I like current arc and how Akamatsu handles his characters and I really wish that he takes his time with this one, because it would be shame to rush to the end and ignore everything he´s done so far. I´m ready for another five years of Negima ^^

yet another Ken series.Expect the to find every cliche you could ever imagine in this one.Crappy, repetitive harem plot, copy/paste characters, it's just horrible.Of course it pleases the large anime fanbase who will eat anything up as long as it has cute girls they can fantasize about.

This is a really horrible series, just like all other of Ken's works.

But hey, people dig this kind of stuff, Ken's just supplying, suit yourselves.

even after 21 or 22 vol. it's still interesting. not as interesting as it was in its earlier arcs, but you really have to hand it out to akamatsu for having to deal with such a manga with a character count of god knows how many. sure it does gets boring at some point, but its not going down the lonely road of hopelessness. everything comes to an end, and like Love Hina, i hope this one ends soon or it will be like another HxH(a good manga that time raped)

when i first saw this series, i thought it was a bit of a rip off of Harry Potter. Still i gave it a try, and plot is different (of course or the mangaka would get sued). It was funny at times, entertaining, but the story got annoying. I tend to pick it up after finals since it recieved such a high rating but currently i believe it is undeserving of a 8.7 average

Really do like this one. Makes me not want to read up to the newest chapter so that I don't feel like there is no more... But that makes me sad a bit...

So many damn characters lol, but I love them

Well since it's his current work, I'd like to say that I do enjoy reading this although some elements like in Love Hina were brought back again into Negima (which I didn't mind at all but doesn't add too much to the originality of the story)

Later when you read the manga, the story is really dragging and only now are they re-introducing some lost characters that you haven't seen in like 10 volumes ago.

Sure there's flashy fights, cool moves, fanservice chapters and all that, the story is not flowing normally as it should but more in this case is somewhat repetitive. Unless you like continuous manga that likes to drag it out, those who find who want an end to a certain arc or end a certain problem will find that this manga isn't interesting to them.

Other than that, the artwork is really well done when I compare it to Love Hina, and the designs are more interesting, but other than that, I can't say it's the best nor the worst. I'll say it's better than average.
