Hey guys, I can't seem to find another thread or any tags like this... so...
Yaoi is preferred, but yuri/shoujo ai, shounen ai, or hetero works too.
- Must be romance
- Main character must cut off all contact with/runs away/hides from the Potential/Main Love Interest
- If s/he doesn't keep in touch with the secondary/background characters, that's okay as long as the Love Interest is included.
- Length of time MC avoids the other character doesn't matter be it hours, days, years, etc.
- If they happen to run into each other, that's fine
Examples:
Lover's Position
Martini Kouryakuhou
Bónd(z)

Koi ga Bokura wo Yurusu Hani
Renai Junkie
Eien no Shichigatsu
Sugar Milk
The Tyrant Who Fall in Love
Tonari ni Kimi no Nukumori wo
Some of my favorites, since they were kept in my keepers-folder.

Um... No offense Toto, but I don't think the tag "Main Character Shunning Others" really fits series like Aishuu and Totally Captivated since it they only try to cut off ties with one person out of anger, and it's a rather small thing that happens partway of the story.

Thank you for all the recommendations! I'll get started on the ones I haven't read yet...
And I agree with Cat, I don't really want the Main Character shunning others, just shunning the person s/he is in love with, used to love or was wronged by for a while.

You need to be more clear as to what you disagree with in that category name, as I read it as you don't understand what the word shunning means.
Or you just don't like that I used "Others".
...
If it's someone other than the main character, they are therefore an "other".

I think the issue is not the term "other" (as you make a completely valid point), but rather that the term "others" (plural) implies that a character shuns all others, while the requester wanted a manga where the main character avoids the love interest specifically, not anyone else.

That's why I was asking cat what she meant.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear. But yes, wolf_unknown and YummiMookies got exactly what I meant. 'Main Character Shunning Others' seems to implies a Main Character who abhors society and the people in it more akin to an 'Antisocial Main Character' versus what the OP wanted, which was merely just a Main Character who decides to avoid his Potential Love Interest for awhile.
