I'm feeling pretty dead inside so please recommend the most heart breaking manga you can think of
I'll read any genre, I don't really care as long as it's sad

thanks

To these days, I haven't found any manga, capable of making me cry. A genuine heartfelt cry. So I couldn't recommend you anything. But I could recommend you some manga, with writing, so bad, so awful, that it would make you cry.

Or, you could just go watch the first 10 minutes of Pixar's "Up".

solanin, although it's a bit funny at the beginning and all, it gets really sad after the first volume

Banana Fish made me cry like a baby. I don't know if it's the kind of thing you're looking for though. It's a long manga and you don't get to the truly sad scenes until it's quite advanced.

Ah, you could try Watashitachi no shiawase na jikan. This one is shorter and quite heartbreaking, but well... It didn't make me cry as much as Banana Fish precisely because it was shorter. Oh well, I hope you feel better. Both mangas are painfully sad but also show a glimmer of hope. Hang in there smile

okay, i'll give you some recommends
Gunslinger Girl
Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden
Vampire Juujikai
Shounen Zanzou >> 1st story is truly sad and.... you never said yaoi/BL isn't prohibited. and the most gruesome work of the same creator God Child. i really recommend this author's works for tragedy.
xxxHoLic >> wait till the ending though it's just fangirls' sentiments
Tokyo Babylon and...... X 1999 >> God, i really wanna hit the creator
Husk Eden >> full of dying kids, even in 1st chap. note: just don't sympathize with the characters, they'll die anyway :I
Aphorism >> a bit gore-is but it's not too sad
All You Need Is Kill >> the ending is supposedly sad but honestly, i didn't cry
Dokuhime >> the ending is supposedly sad but honestly, i didn't cry.... again
Ghost Hunt >> it's just my own sentiment
Sora o Daite Oyasumi >> again...... you never said yaoi/BL isn't prohibited but it's totally crushed my heart.

Try reading the serie of oneshots Deep Love, starting with Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari

Koe no Katachi - the oneshot or the series - it deals with bullying - but as it progresses it's more moving than sad eyes

I think it depends on what makes you sad but um...

20th Century Boys: I cried a lot but it's partly sad crying and partly uplifting crying.

Hajimari no Niina / NG Life / Please Save My Earth: They're all kind of heartbreaking for the same reason, unrequited love (though maybe not so much in HnN) + added suffering from memories that aren't your own + doubting your identity because of said memories. Reincarnation stuff just pulls my heart strings I dunno.

NG Life is really 90% comedy but the last two volumes or so tears me up inside. PSME is the saddest of the three but it's also the longest.

Wakusei no Samidare: Sadness primarily comes from character deaths but there are emotionally poignant scenes too. It has uplifting crying moments as well, esp towards the end.

Spirit Circle: By the same author as above. Main character relives his past lives in his dreams but that also means he relives his deaths over and over again and some of
them are just incredibly sad.

umm.. what kind of sad?

Natsume Yuujinchou not sad but kinda warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
Hotarubi no Mori e collection of oneshot by the same author as above, the most heartbreaking one is Hotarubi no Mori e. there's even a movie for it.

if you like that kind of sad from those titles, maybe you'll like this.
Kon no Ki Konoha
Akuma ni Itsukushimi no Te o
Monster and Child
Rasen no Kioku
all of them has similar, so I suggest you don't read it all at once in one day since that will be boring haha~
