I feel funny for asking something like this xD But it really starts to irritate me when at least in almost all shoujo manga the one with short spiky hair and nervous disorder would always win over the long-haired and well-mannered guy xD So maybe you could help me find something with characters looking like from The One, Saiunkoku Monogatari, Pahanjip, From Far Away, Ludwig Kakumei or even Hellsing? XD Would be nice not tragedy and no shounen-ai (I'm sure they have plenty, but sadly I don't read it >.<)

It's not a problem if it isn't shoujo, though I like romance. Somehow the best romance stories don't even have 'shoujo' or 'romance' label. Because it's not overdid and don't fall into the 'meh..' category xD

Historical manga should tend to have long-haired men thus long-haired male leads. Example is Shin Angyo Onshi.

The Other Side of the Mirror has a long-haired male lead and romance. It's a josei.
