I've run out of good manga to read and so I'm going back to the good old classics. I'm more into shounen so don't bother posting a shojo unless it's absolutely amazing. Also, I've heard of everything on Toonami (YuYu, Ruroni Kenshin, Inuyasha, DB, etc.)
There was a similar forum, but I don't mind the length of the manga at all, in fact longer is better. I would LOVE it if it were completed, but it should at least have most chapters scanlated.
Here are a list of my favorites roughly in order:
Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! (I've never read and reread something so hilarious in my life) ^_^ I love comedy
One Piece
Angel Densetsu
GTO
Deathnote (Sometimes serious stuff can be really good too)
Molester Man

Thanks!
I had never tried to read Adachi's work because something about the art made me not like it lol, but I'll give it a try.
So far I'm realllyyy liking Ushio to Tora!

ohh,, you're missing out big time. Adachi is considered one of the greatest storyteller of all time and the comedy is so good. here take a look at his most famous works :
H2
cross game
touch
Or if you like ushio no tora, you'll maybe also like shin kotaro makaritoru series.

By critics and regular fans, it's not coincidence he won multiple awards, sold 200 mil plus of his works, multiple live-action adaptation and even popular in north america and europe.
For OP some addictive series with 20 volumes + scanlated or complete :
gantz
Kingdom
inuyasha
ichigo 100%
kekkaishi
7 seeds
school rumble
shin angyo onshi
love hina

Your statement is still a hyperbole though. Just because he won awards and is popular doesn't mean he's the best. I mean look at how popular Naruto, Bleach and Twilight is. Look at all the awarding winning books they make you read in English class *yawn.
OT:
I enjoyed Tezuka Osamu's works personally since they're very diverse. Phoenix, Black Jack, Apollo no Uta and MW were all very good but YMMV.
Tokyo Crazy Paradise and Pet Shop of Horrors were actually pretty good even though I hate shoujo and similar art style.
Eatman
City Hunter
Sunabozu
YKK is a slice of life so while many praised it, it depends on the reader

I didn't say he was the best, i said he was one of the greatest. it means there're many authors who at the same level or even better than him. and adachi works is not popular like naruto, bleach or twilight. he reach 200 mill sales with 20+ series, critics praises him because his unique writing style, great humor, realistic sports,heart-wrenching story line, lovable character, etc...
Yeah i love tezuka as well and agree that he should be at the top of any list, but Fujiko F Fujio, Takahashi rumiko, takehiko inoue, tamura yumi and Adachi mitsuru should be not far behind the god of manga.
