Love Hina I know it's already been scanlated. Ages ago in fact, and it's been released in multiple formats since. I still want to see someone do a higher resolution scanlation. 😃
Air Master
Over rev! Club Carisma is gone, and they seemed to be the only ones who cared about this one.
Wangan Midnight Same as the above.
Excel Saga My requests for this still fall on deaf ears.
Sarcasm just doesn't work over the internet.

Mossore It only needs 1 volume and a couple chapters left in translation to be completed but sadly it's been abandoned for awhile.
Goumaden Shutendouji Hasn't been translated in about 2 years while it only had 4 more volumes to go in translations.
Peace Maker Kurogane It's pretty much been given up on. Last translation was years ago and it's still in hiatus.
Only You - Tobenai Tsubasa Completed at 8 volumes but dropped after volume 3 chapter 11 was translated.
Song of the Cloud last translation was almost a year ago...
Utopia (NEUK Dae Sam) Hasn't been translated in over a year
Serendipity last translation more than a year ago
Umi Yori mo Fukaku it was rather interesting and was only translated up to volume 2 chapter 2 although there are 10 volumes.
Junjou Romantica it was dropped by the group that was translating it.
Silver it looked so promising but it was discontinued....
I'd be nice if Double Arts and Magico (IWAMOTO Naoki) could have gone on longer. They could have been so much more.
Same for Eden no Ori, as has been mentioned, I heard it got a rushed ending but I have still have not finished it to see how rushed.
Remembrance, a forsaken thing that revokes ignorance and leaves people in doubt, is my only redemption and solace deep within the cascade of white.
The evergreen trees speak of days long past when music mingled with the wind and sweet murmurs brushed our cheeks.

Wow, looks like all the series I listed have since been completed, (Except the one dropped by author of course.)
New List:
Monogatari (Novel) (I really love reading this, even more than I did watching the anime, so I don't want to watch the anime until I've read it.)
Durarara!! (Novel)
Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu (Novel) Technically still active but there are gaps of no translations
Mieru Hito I wouldn't mind finishing this series, although it looks like it had an axed ending.
On looooooong haitus from author:
Hunter x Hunter It's been on haitus longer than it's been running. It came out the same year as one piece so it'd prob be over by now if not for that. I dunno why he stopped, perhaps its cuz he has a family now or something.

After more than a year everything on my list was luckily picked up again (Pastel kind of) so new list:
- Musunde Hiraite (MINASE Mayu)
- Butter!!! (this is probably not completely dropped but at this rate it will never end)
- Love Calendar
- Luck Stealer
- Flat (AOGIRI Natsu)
Special list for manhwa:
Maybe I'll get lucky again!
🙂
My current top 3:
Fullmetal Alchemist
Pandora Hearts
3-gatsu no Lion

Off the top of my head..
Seigi no Mikata
well the group says they're still scanlating this but since it's been 2 years and they're still active...
Kirameki Gingachou Shoutengai
I've bought all the Tokyopop books before they shut down (3 out of 10), but that's not enough for me TT_TT I wanna see how this all ends

I would like to see how Cestus - The Legend of Boxing in the Dark Ages and Kindan By OSAKABE Mashin ends. and I was hoping some scanlation group would scan them
Some were interested in what i want to see translated or go back into scanlation (after at least a year dead) so go here for the other way shorter list:
Manga you wish would be scanlated (Unscanlated manga ONLY)
I took my time and did right by my darlings as i updated the pages, cleaned up the genres if needed and gave out a multitude of fitting categories (that don´t spoil) after finishing them (if possible). I also wrote (hopefully) comprehensive reviews to explain why these shine bright if not stated otherwise. A lot are no-brainer and new translations for them are only a matter of time but now you can find some of the less established ones by accident while searching and who knows who is looking at this very post. At least they now look like someone is actually interested in them 😉 and i highlighted my top 3 picks.
20 Seiki Shounen no Wakiyaku - 7,5/10 + Master Keaton Remaster - 8/10.
Even Urasawa has holes in his English resume.
Comic Master J - 7,5/10
For fans of Bakuman / Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga which also has untouched volumes.
Five Star Monogatari - 8/10
For fans of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes anime / Gunnm
An overambitious classic in the genre.
Ike! Inachuu Takkyuubu - 7/10 as there is no ending.
For fans of Jigokuren - Love in the Hell / early South Park.
Jinja no Susume - 7/10
I learned something about modern Shintoism so that is nice.
Kamui Gaiden 8,5/10
For fans of Azumi / Lone Wolf and Cub. This nihilistic classic seinen has an incomprehensible publishing history but I prefer it to the Wolf. This new beginning for the series and all the later sequels need a new chance at life for the sake of manga history.
Kenrou Densetsu - 8/10
Loosely adapted into the IG anime film Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade which is also written by Mamoru Oshii so a no-brainer. The same goes for the sequels.
Koukaku Kidoutai Arise - Nemuranai Me no Otoko Sleepless Eye - 9/10
Hands down the best GitS manga. It is canon to the OVA universe.
Mitsurin Shounen - 9/10
For fans of the DC/Vertigo war drama Unknown Soldier and not much else.
Naisho no Tsubomi - 7,5/10
For fans of Kodomo no Omocha. A manga about child sexuality that works for once as it is a shoujo series and not ecchi or worse.
RideBack - 9/10
For fans of Akira / 20 Seiki Shounen. Not what you expect at all and the young female lead is very strong yet vulnerably human.
Both Tokyo Toy Box manga. - 8/10
For fans of 87 Clockers / Bakuman and Indie Game: The Movie.
My tales from the manga crypt are at an end and remember that real storytelling knows no language. Follow my example if possible or improve on it. Unleash your evil!
Edit: Some restarted so they are now off the list.
I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.
