I'm looking for any kind of thought provoking manga to read. I don't mind reading most things, just please no shotacon, lolicon, incest, or rape. ^^ By thought provoking, I mean makes you think about life, relationships, yourself that kind of thing. Just one that makes you look at a subject in a new light. I hope I am getting my point across. :]

Also, if you have any suggestions that has a story with more then one point of view of the same story that'd be cool too. Any suggestions will be appreciated. biggrin

Kiichi!!
is a good one
almost all of matusmoto jiro's works, tho the are pretty bad, extreme mature content warning
i'd also check out Kotonoha (they scanalated Kiichi!!) they have a ton of slice of life and thought provoking stuff
Sagaris said Oyasumi punpun and i highly recommend it, it is extremely thought provoking

The Embalmer is an excellent manga, very episodic and thought-provoking, that really makes you think. Because embalming is severely frowned upon in Japan, it gives a whole new viewpoint on it. The chapters are always subtle and interesting.

I would recommend this one:

Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan

Summary: “I have something I don’t want to lose—
So much so that these terrible feelings have grown.”

A pianist who attempted suicide 3 times, Juri, is taken to help her aunt at a prison where murderers who killed indiscriminately are sentenced to death. There, she meets a man named Yuu who took the lives of 3 people. A mother's antagonism--a brother's death... Together they embrace the violent rebellion in their hearts caused by the large, deep scars they carry. However, before long, they both embrace an earnest hope in their hearts. "I want to live"...

An adaptation of a novel by South Korea's most popular female novelist, Gong Ji-Young.

In regards to Toto's recommendations:

Errr... I think that SIH has a load of very fluffy shoujo and smutty BL so it's probably their "slice-of-life"/josei/seinen sections.

As for Entropy, it'd be their more matured series too 'cos they also have a load of fluffy shoujo and some very typical shounen series.

As for Akumetsu, it is indeed a parody of Japanese politics. However, though be warned that it concentrates a lot on violence(more like sensationalism) and it is best read very quickly.

Kirihito Sanka
Apollo no Uta
Say Hello to Black Jack Truly a must read! It deals with medical issues, ethics and whatnot.
9 Faces of Love
Heptagon
Thomas no Shinzou
Knife Also really good and no, these aren't romance stories.
Himitsu
Kanojotachi no X-Day

Hoshi no Samidare
Bokurano
I'd recommend Arigatou but it's got a rape scene in it. However, it's brilliant deconstruction of Japanese society.
Ai-Ren
Planetes
Slow Down
Sunflower (KIM Yeon-joo)
Four Shoujo Stories
Helter Skelter I think it's also got 1 rape scene in it but it's also got a really dark and accurate portrayal of human obsession.

Shissou Nikki

Zankoku na Kami ga Shihaisuru Is it really all right for the son of a pedophile to fall in love with his "victim"? And so on...

Bokurano also contains rape, so if rape is a deal breaker you might want to skip that one...

I second Brigit's Supper.
Akazukin to Yasashii Ookami
Witch of The Flower Forest
City in The Sea

These are just one-shots, but what you're looking for is pretty similar. :3
Most Powerful/Deep One-Shot
