I've been reading Aitsu no Daihonmei recently and (although I didn't really like the Yoshida-Satou relationship) I started wondering if there was any other manga with a character (preferably a protagonist) who seems to attract weird people. It would be great if the character was an ordinary person, but those weird people were attracted to him despite/because of his ordinariness.

I don't mind shounen-ai (but I don't like hard yaoi, as well as hentai, smut, loli etc. And I don't like anything with shoujo-ai, even just hints), but I'd rather these weren't only 'an innocent guy and a pervert' mangas (like Toukaidou Hisame).

I think Hyakki Yakoushou and Natsume Yuujinchou may be what I am looking for (to some extent), with youkai being these weird people I mentioned.

Maybe Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Medaka Box or Yankee-kun to Megane-chan because the main characters are normal but they're surrounded by weirdos? XD (and maybe Fairy Tail too)

This is an interesting topic and I'd like to see what other people find. But I feel like I know a couple better ones but I can't think of them at the moment :/ Oh well.

Not exactly but maybe Sexy Commando - normal guy meets strange guy, and then more strange guys For me it's really funny but I know that this humor is not for everybody.

Bingo! - Well, this doesn't fit exactly because the two protagonists don't attract 'weird people'- instead, they are 'trouble magnets'; this trouble might come in the form of strange stalkers and bullies, but they also get into accidents and whatnot.

Well Aspirin - all of protagonist comrades are extremely weird
Barakamon - pretty fun
Gintama - all characters are weird
Hayate no Gotoku! - definitely weird companions
Ultimate!! Hentai Kamen - well hilarious
School Rumble - all characters are weird
Ranma 1/2 - pretty old but still my favorite

The problem with One Piece is the fact that Luffy is... not very normal himself And I'd rather these characters were ordinary people, having (at least in the beginning) this 'what am I doing here?' feeling... I'm really bad at explaining things

Did anyone say The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi? It seems to me that Kyon is stuck with a lot of weird people--and they're all confiding in him.....
