Hey guys! I'm looking for a manga, preferably shoujo, where there are scenes showing how hard it is dating a rich and/or famous person. It doesn't matter who's rich, whether it's the guy or the girl, or both. It also doesn't matter if the other person is normal/poor or also rich. I say no to mature stuff. Would prefer the protagonists to be teenagers or in early 20's. If they break up once, it's a plus (they have to go back together again, though).

*Example: Normal girl dates rich business guy. They go through a 'normal' date where they watch movies or eat dinner in a nice restaurant but the guy always take calls from work. In the end, the date is ruined because of the guy.
*Example: Girl dates a famous singer. They can't go on a proper date because of the guy's busy schedules.
*Example: Both guy and girl is famous but they can't date because of paparazzi and stuff.
*Example: Something like Backstage Prince, Charisma Doll somehow I think Hana ni Arashi fits, too.

Don't know if this is made before but when I searched for 'rich' I found no similar threads.

Thank you very much guys! smile I will appreciate every reccomendation you give smile

Cipher is a great one, with a girl dating a fairly popular actor.
Cat Street becomes this, but only near the end when she has regained her popularity as an actress.

@drolemil Wow! I didn't realize Nousatsu Rock Star had a sequel. This should be awesome. I'm gonna read it first. Tenshi ja nai looks good, too. Kodomo no omocha? I'm still 50/50 about it. Does it have a good storyline? Since they're kids I hope they're not the bratty type.

@akari_mizunashi Cool! I'm reading Cipher next. It looks good. Cat street? Meh, I got bored on the first half. Though I might give it a shot again.

Thank you to both smile

Any more recs? Will still appreciate them smile

Brilliant story, with brilliant characters. The way the author perfectly portrays the cast as realistic kids (not adult mentalities in kids bodies, nor one dimensional brats) is perhaps the story's best feature.

Emma: Highly recommended. She's a common maid who falls in love with someone with much more wealth.
Kaikan Phrase: She gets into SO much drama for being with him, it's ridiculous. It's smut though.
Nousatsu Rock Shounen: She dates a rockstar in disguise. Exactly what you want.
Private Prince: OMGAH, read this please. It's good.

@xgloriOHz Yep Private Prince looks good. I'm just doubtful about it because it says it has smut (and i'm not into smut mangas). I've read Nousatsu Rock shounen (recommended by another member) and I agree...It's exactly what I'm looking for! I have watched Emma the anime. I didn't really like it at first...but yeah it was kinda good. Thank you! smile

@drolemil Really? Then if that's how it is...It's probably worth reading. And since it won something, It's probably great smile Thank you again.

100% Perfect Girl: she has to have a bodyguard with her and fear of being kidnapped. Mature because of the psychological theme of it but I don't think it's smutty. If there's a kissing scene, then, it'll be done tastefully imo
Complex (KIKUCHI Kumiko): actor x model.
Show Princess: I think if I say it in any way, it'll still be a spoiler but anyway troubles in dating the guy
W Juliet fits well. But it's because the guy has to be a woman in order to get his dream approved. And check the sequel as well
Kimi wa Girlfriend
Wild Act
My Girl actress/model/singer and
Spoiler (highlight to view)
highschooler (although he's good looking too)

Nana for sure.

Once you get past the first several chapters, that is. One of the two main characters ends up
Spoiler (highlight to view)
dating her idol, a member of this super famous band, and he's never around, always leaving real early, etc. The other main character' and her boyfriend are both famous and in rivaling bands and they have tons of paparazzi trouble.

Oh, and the first couple does break up and get back together. The second couple used to date when they were in high school, are broken up when the story begins (they break up because he gets an opportunity to become famous) and then get back together later on.

Not teenagers, but the two main characters are twenty, so they act like teens only they live alone. Very shoujo-esq.

Also try Skip Beat and Billion Princess.
