I'm looking for a romance manga where the girl protects the male. This could because she's a bodyguard (her job), or maybe she's just looking after for him (friend/or kinda like an older sister). Can be short or long. Rather it not be fantasy or yuri.

What I read that fits:
Gokusen
Grand Sun (which I kinda disliked mainly for the story)
Hana no Kishi
Hekikai no AiON
Kuroneko Guardian
Matsuri Special
Red Lion (Great read)
Tokyo Crazy Paradise (Love it!)
Vanilla Ice (I love this story!)
Venus Capriccio (she did kinda protected him...so I'm adding it)

I love this genre/category to, there's:

WitchCraft Works

Mirai Nikki (This ones kinda dark)

Shinobi Yoru Koi wa Kusemono

Love in the Mask

Boy of the Female Wolf

Hoshi no Samidare

I know more but these are the only ones that I know in the more romantic genre (save mirai nikki and Hoshi no Samidare ). If you like those two I have more shounen/dark type ones (maybe not as dark as mirai nikki though ) biggrin

Thanks
WitchCraft Works looks like a good manga, as does Love in the Mask. I started on Boy of the Female Wolf before, but never finished it (same could be said with Mirai Nikki).

Got any more?

Well, you started reading Witchcraft Works, but if haven't done that, I would be seconding it here. It actually gets better after a few chapters (there is more plot).

Nejimaki Kagyu - gotta second this, it's amazing, cute and freaky
Kaede Taifuu - kind of
Amanin Shoujo Azuki - though the girl totally fails to protect him 50% of the time (in fact she endangers his life a lot)
Change 123 - weak boy befriends a strong girl (kind of 3 girls in 1) and she ends up saving his butt a lot; it's ecchi, but the romance is ok
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
later on they become a couple

Kandachime - starts of like this, but after a short while the guy has to defend himself anyway
Shiki Tsukai - same stuff as above

Sekirei - I guess you could say the girls protect the protagonist. The fanservice can get quite intense, but surprisingly this manga actually has an ok plot and there are some likable characters.
Rappi Rangai - Guy is a descendant of a noble family and 3 ninja girls (one is actually a he) protect his butt

Dark Air - Main character hires a strong girl to be his bodyguard. She only agrees to it, because she finds him attractive (romance is really subtle stuff in this series). It's a fantasy series, but the main characters are really good and they carry on the manhwa (the plot is somewhat lacking though).

Kiba no Tabishounin - The Arms Peddler - An awesomely strong woman takes pity on a boy who was left to die and takes him in. She appears to be very cold towards him, but she is actually quite caring (it is very strongly hinted at in the extra chapters and not so strongly in the main series). She does quite a bit of protecting him.

Kimi wa Boku no Toriko Nare - I would second that, but despite starting off really good, it gets really crappy just a few chapters later.

Boku ni Koi suru Mechanical - seconding, perhaps

Shinobi no otsutome - the premise is as you requested, but the content is mostly borderline H stuff...

Last but not least A Brother's Price. It's a novel by an American author. It takes place in a world where gender roles are reversed and men are generally in short supply (which explains why men are guarded carefully). At the beginning of the series the protagonist has a batch of sisters protecting him, later on
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
he hooks up with a bunch of princesses, who while not nearly as strong as his sisters were, are still set on protecting him. He can also protect himself if the situation demands it.

This one should fit your request really well. Additionally, this is probably the best harem series I have ever read. I have to warn you though, it has some mature content on a few occasions (it's low on details, but it's still mature content).
