You know the kind of really sweet, really innocent, really MOE romance story that makes some little part of your heart go "KYUN~~"? Yeah. I want to read a romance manga that is:

a) At least 3 volumes long.

b) Basically a PURE-HEARTED ROMANCE, no ecchi moments, plz. Nothing further than kissing or hand-holding at most, and even that should take a while to arrive at!

c) Heart-warming, soul-stirring. Makes you believe in True Love - people who will do anything for each other, cross rivers and mountains, etc. <3 <3 <3

d) At least a reasonably intelligent story! With good characterization, interesting plot, etc.

f) There may be angst, but nothing that will destroy the purity of the love - rather, that will only make it purer.

g) Characters that love each other but take a long time to realize that they love each other, or that they actually love each other in a special (romantic) way. YES, THEY ARE SO PURE. <3 <3

h) Happy ending! (If the manga has ended. If not, then at least no unresolved tragedy so far. Love conquers all!)

Examples: Hana to Akuma, The Ice-Cold Demon's Tale, etc. Not picky about the orientation of characters; straight romance, shounen-ai or shoujo-ai are just fine.

You might think that a kiddy romance like Kodocha would qualify, but it actually doesn't, because the angst near the end is of the possessive, unpleasant kind that makes the characters less pure. (At least in my opinion.) I don't like that. >_>; I want something that's very pure; it doesn't have to do with the ages of the characters, but rather with the kind of people they are and how pure their hearts are. A really pure love is never completely overcome by fear or insecurity - that's what I'm looking for.

I agree with the Yumeka Sumomo (the love is pure, but they are sometimes melancholic or tragic, though) and Mitsuki Kako mangaka suggestions, and the Honey Hunt, Ouran High School Host Club, Special A series suggestions.

A lot of the series released by Shojo Beat will fit this request actually. (At least 7 of those above are Shojo Beat titles, and lots more have been mentioned in the thread.)
