Even choosing a top five can be hard, but if were looking at the ones I keep going back to: Yotsuba, Azumanga Daioh, Hidamari Sketch, Ah! My Goddess, and Mahoraba. In a special category go all of FUJIEDA Miyabi's work as it's all great, but short. Finally, there's "Ai Ren", one of the few manga, or any form of media for that matter, that has made me take a real, serious look at how I live my life, and what's really important. Of course, I've never been able to read it again; but I recommend it to any serious manga reader, just keep the tissue handy.

My top 5 manga would be:
1.) Liar Game - intricate plot that would evoke responses like "WTH happened?!"
2.) Vagabond - Just amazing. The art, the plot, the characters...simply astounding
3.) One Outs - One word: Gambling manga FTW. This manga actually have an anime adaptation, so if you like "blonde, shirtless guys with gambling themes", then I recommend it. 😉
4.) Slam Dunk - My passion in life is basketball, so I literally completed this series in just 2 weeks (mind you, with school work and crap, it was hard to have a marathon, but this proves that I love Slam Dunk)
5.) MPD Psycho - Great detective series as well as clean art. One of the few ongoing manga that I anticipate reading every releases of chapters

My favorites...hmmm...
Others that I simply must mention are Genshiken, Blood Alone, Cat Street, Densha Otoko, Tokyo Crazy Paradise, and Nodame Cantabile. It's just so hard to pick!
