Maybe a drama? A death game? An unpredictable situation? Something that's really really good...

Something that gives you chills, something that makes you think, that makes you cry, that makes you smile and get angry. Something that leaves you empty once you've finished reading it. Something with good art. Something that makes you imagine all possible solutions and/or endings.
I need something really good!

And preferably completed smile

Sakamichi no Apollon definitely made me feel like I lost a part of me when it ended. It was beautiful and the art was good. It was a great coming of age story.
Gave me chills. Just beautiful.

Doubt by Tonogai Yoshiki, maybe? First one that came to mind.

There has been a similar request before. Have a look at my former post:

Series with many strong feelings and emotions

I read OOIMA Yoshitoki's one-shot Koe no Katachi not too long ago. The story was unadorned and thought-provoking. The way Japanese publishers handled this award-winning work gives more than enough credit for its socio-critical potential.
