i know that you guys have read a thousand or hundreds of manga (is that even posiible?) confused

anyways, i know that you've read more than i do and i know that you've come across a manga or two that made you say: "oh, this one's reallyyyyy great" or "that one's really coooool"

so basically, i want to read "this-one's-really-great" manga.

i don't care if it's gender bender or not, action or not, mature/smut or not, comedy or drama, historical or not, etc as long as it's SHOUJO, has ROMANCE, COMPLETED already and should be YOUR FAVORITE.

coz it would'nt be your favorite for nothing, right? surely there MUST be a reason why you loved it!

just to share you mine (which u've probably read already):

tokyo crazy paradise - she is amazing, i love it when she's on a disguise. beautiful. (though i've been avoiding this manga before because of the art)
bride of the water god - i dunno. this kinda makes me sad. maybe because it will make u wonder if the god really loved her or if he is still stuck with his past.
skip beat - i really love heroines who never give up.
kanata kara - though she's a crybaby. she sometimes does things unexpectedly.

these mangas make me want for MOOOOOOREEEE!!!! i just can't get enough so please help!!!

i'll be looking forward to your replies. hope i'll get many. thanx!

biggrin

The only romance shoujo I thought were worth reading;

X - Even though I guess this is not technically complete.
RG Veda

-Both by CLAMP. Thankfully, they have really great plots that do not focus on the romance more than is strictly necessary. Ignore the BL / GL tags ; anyone who has read CLAMP knows that their shounen-ai and shoujo-ai are so mild no-one would ever notice unless they were looking for it.

Othello. (I really recommend it)
Grand Sun (Maybe you'll like it since you read TCP)
Aishiteruze Baby (Very sweeet)
Eensy-Weensy Monster (It was pretty cute)
Merupuri (One of my first mangas)
Only a few of my favorites xD;

High School Debut: The first shoujo and manga I've ever touched, haha.
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan: Josei, but totally blew my mind away.

My favorite over time, mainliy because it's my first shojo and because Kaori Yuki is the only mangaka who draw exactly what i want to read (goth+twisted fairy tale+dark shojo) : Angel Sanctuary (but any Kaori Yuki manga is my favorite xD)

But i can add to this one some mangas i really loved to read or re-read : Atashi wa Bambi, Maison Ikkoku, Yume de Aetera

wow! thanks a lot for sharing.

@ mewman: i read the first few volumes of Kimi ni Todoke and Goong and really lovin' it but i was having second thoughts if i'll just drop it or not since they're still ongoing (too bad) cry
clover (CLAMP) - discontinued?

@ sweet girl: i really liked hikawa kyoko's works (kanata kara, miriam, chizumi & fujiomi hehehe)
i'll probably check mars, aishiteruze baby, - they are mostly recommended. and i'll definitely check Boku no Chikyuu wo mamotte - caught my interest.

@ xxkuroxx: ill put them on my list asap! biggrin

@ vietangelix: grand sun is on my top list since i'm into action nowadays (esp. after reading TCP)

@ rainy days: that is very helpful. thanx!

@sweetnsour321: not really the types i'm used to reading but i'll check them out later coz i'm curious what made these manga your favorite - out of all the thousands.

@xgloriohz: i've already finished high school debut. that was hilarious! laugh
i'll download the second one (watashi....) since it's only one volume.

@morphin007: angel sanctuary- same mangaka as the ludmig kakumei? definitely on my list. i'll try reading dark-themed shoujo

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They look young because they are young, but it shows that love has nothing to do with age. (:
