I'm looking for something manly. I'm tired of all these comics with chicks as the star action heroes. No "girls with guns" "girls with swords" etc as the sole stars... I'm looking for something more manly. And I also want to see a ting or more of romance combined with it.

Examples:

*Gantz - Manly as hell + some decent Romance to it
*Berserk - Even Manlier, though not as much romance... from what i've read so far
*Shin Angyo Onshi
*Highschool of the Dead - I'm fine with chicks in the action like this one. so long as the male lead is very manly like in this comic
*Unbalance x Unbalance - Not so much action, but the male lead was very manly. Also great with the romance aspect.

My list is not on this site, but on MAL (lol):

Thanks!

Well, I don't think you can get much more badass than Jackals and one can infer the developing romance, so this should be pretty close to what you want.

And if you've read Berserk, I don't even need to bother with the "this has some blood and/or sexual content" because...well, Berserk has everything.

Ryuurouden might be a little off from what you want. It's an older manga, and the art doesn't start off very good (it gets better), the fighting is very "male-bonding"-esque and it's a pretty dense manga, but there is romance. So you might like it.

Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou is goddamn crazy. This is like, a man's man's manga. It's pretty disturbing -- there's rape and corpses, and anything else you can imagine, everywhere -- but there's also kind of an angst-fest goin' on with the protagonist. It's got a developing teacher x student romance, though.

BB Project will definitely become a very manly manga once it has a decent amount of chapters out. But the protag's a perv and will probably get the heroine in the end, so maybe check it out once it has a few more chapters.

I would say just read Shi ga Futari wo Wakatsu Made just for the sheer awesomeness. Because it's got a blind swordsman who kicks everybody's asses and can slice through objects like they're butter.

You might like Samurai Deeper Kyo. It gets a bit repetitive, but it might meet your standards.

Hope you find at least one good one.

The Breaker has some romance mixed with some badass manly fighting. The second series The breaker new waves just started no romance yet but seems like it could develop soon.

Cage of eden
Zero

Holyland as mentioned above is pretty good.

If you look away from the rest of the setting then traumatized child soldier seeing threats at every corner is sorta manly in Full Metal Panic! and Full Metal Panic! Sigma

I would second Kurozuka, Threads of Time and Basilisk as well.
