Hi all. I'm looking for a manga where the main/a major character doesn't use a generic weapon, ie) sword, gun, staff/generic magic.

A good example would be Baroona from Ares who uses a double dagger rope dart, or Ray, also from Ares who uses a flying claw

Things like Celurits, hook swords, tiger's claw

If you play League of Legends, Jarvan IV has a unique weapon, or someone like Akali who uses Kamas

Please nothing like Yoyos, boomerangs, or brooms. Prefer no ecchi, shounen/shoujo ai, yaoi/yuri.

All help is appreciated.

there are nightmares that use almost anything possible, like hand-to-hand, swords, chainsaw-ish guillotine sword thing, creating and controlling artificial hands or huge projectiles, using music/sound, creating mazes or puppets, well I guess anything one could think of...

Akame ga Kiru!
this contains probably the most random weapons ever, from special swords, to armors, threads, scissors, enraging cyberdog (almost^^), etc.

Shinigamis in kuroshitsuji use weird weapons like chainsaw, lawnmower,pruner but they are side characters

In Deadman Wonderland, they fight with blood.

D.Gray Man has some interesting weapons but it's currently on hiatus, so we might not see an ending.

Hime from Kaibutsu Oujo will use any weapon she can find (which means she will use some conventional ones too), but she has a tendency to use gardening and power tools for some reason...

Tsugumomo he uses an obi, which happens to be a girl

Several characters in Battle Angel Alita and sequel use some unique weapons.

You should also check Gamaran, while the MC does use a katana, almost all of his opponents use different weapons : shuriken, flails, halberds, naginata, spears, etc... Each opponent has a good amount of show time to expose the fighting style so you might like it.

Various mangas also have MCs using shinais/bokkens, more rarely baseball bats; especially in delinquent mangas. Ex : Kurogane (IKEZAWA Haruto), Gintama

Check out Jackals, he uses a massive blade(?) not sure how to explain it..but it's a good manga

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - I'm reading this now, up to Part 2. The main character uses ripple breathing, which manifests in different ways.
Katekyo Hitman Reborn! - flames that he generates from special gloves
Eatman - anything he eats, he can turn into a weapon

Samurai High School The Main Female Lead once uses one of her classmates as a sword cause she didn't have a weapon.

iirc the lead MC just uses a sword or something 90% of the time, but once you get ~10-20 volumes in, a fair share the main villains & side protags (who each get just as much, if not slightly more, screen time as the MC) use some unique, albeit slightly ridiculous, weapons.

Mushi to Medama to Teddy Bear - she uses spoons and gouged out people's eyeballs
Battle Royale - the kids have various kinds of weapons
Negative Happy Chain Saw Edge - mc have double blades and the bad guy have chainsaw
Koroshiya 1 - mc have blades under the shoes
