extra release filtering options
(1 posts, 742 views) Posted: over 9 years ago by mogiks in Suggestions & Bugs
1. I suggest allowing us to filter out releases that aren't yet in the database.

Overall this will have a minimal effect on the releases page, because most manga are added to the database very quickly after being listed as a release. But it will help to filter out some of ...

Unfortunately I can only do unsexy favours.

The only close example I can think of is Loveless: there are pairs of fighters and sacrifices, who both share a name (like "Loveless", "Beloved", "Breathless") which will appear somewhe...

I hate to circumvent such a well thought out and helpful post, but really, the key to sleeping well at night is as simple as having a meaningful day.

I'm sure many medical doctors as well as many sufferers of severe sleep disorders would beg to disagree ...

There could be a lot of reasons for your current sleeping habits... I will offer some simple advice first and if it doesn't work out I highly advise you to see a doctor. Habitually failing to sleep...

It does say the cover artist is Sumomo. There's this Sumomo in the database, is that the one you found before? According to their profile here, it is the same Sumomo, as their series Kenenka no Table is listed there.

Here's a page about the story from the cover.

Hm.

Skip Beat! - the most obvious example. The main character gave up on love after getting her heart broken in the very first chapter of the manga.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Ren Tsuruga also has given up on love after a trauma in his past. Given that he is the main char...

Hmm.. well, maybe there will be something you will like among these:

12 Days
Free Soul
Sweet Lovin' Baby
Blue

Edit: I really think yuri and shoujo-ai titles are lacking, though. There's a lot more shounen-ai and yaoi out there, but I haven't really read much so can't recommend...
What manga is this picture from?
(3 posts, 3770 views) Posted: over 9 years ago by mogiks in I'm Looking For...
It is not a manga, it is a short story or light novel under Shueisha's Cobalt Bunko label. The title is ベビー・ロマン ティカ 禁忌姫の結婚, or in romaji, Baby Romantica - Kinki-hime no Kekkon (kinki here means taboo, so I guess it translates to something l...

I'm glad you appreciated my advice, but quoting my entire mile long screed may have been a bit much laugh

Two disappointments in one day(Aku no Hana and Onani Master Kurosawa)[Might contain spoilers]
(15 posts, 2923 views) Posted: over 9 years ago by mogiks in Manga General
The whole point of Onani Master Kurosawa is to teach some life lessons, not to present a story where everything goes as the reader wants it to. Because in all likelihood life won't go how you want it to either. That's a pretty common theme in coming-of-age stories (having...

There's this for the first part of your request, but I don't think the 2nd part can be done at present, so your friend would have to open each one manually to look whether they have been completed/completely scanlated or not.
