I've ran out of mangas to read that have been recommended to me a while ago.
I'm now looking for some great romance Shoujo/Josei mangas that have a great plot and well developed characters. I don't mind tragedies but I would prefer if there were happy endings.
Here are some of the mangas I loved and I'm looking for mangas that can provide me similar enjoyment:
> Mars
> 100% Perfect Girl
> Kare First Love
> Koukou Debut
> Cat Street
> Anatolia Story
> Kingyo Sou
> ES
> Private Prince
> Kimi wa Pet
> Hanazakari no Kimitachi e
> Dengeki Daisy
> Midnight Secretary
> Shuukatsu!! - Kimi ni Naitei
I don't want shounen-ai/shoujo-ai, yuri/yaoi or hentai. I don't mind smut and shounen romances as long as they fit the enjoyment condition.
Here is my manga list if you want to see what I've read.
Thanks in advance for the replies =D

Glass no Kamen.
It's an oldie, but a goodie. And don't be fooled by the art. It's really good.
Others that I can think of:
Kare Kano
Kodomo no Omocha
Basara
7 Seeds
Strobe Edge
Oooku
I totally seconded Kimi ni Todoke.

*scrolls through reading and complete list... dang... you read A LOT... I'm so sorry if I repeat any that you've already read since I'm still a newbie to manga... but:
Completed Works: (yaay! no long waits!!!)
Fruits Basket -- Classic shoujo with a slow romance... you might need a tissue box in the 100+ chapters. It's very heart-warming. I like that it not only focuses on the main characters. You get to see development from the side characters as well. I highly recommend this one.
Honey and Clover -- Watch the anime -- both seasons: it covers the whole manga plot! It's a truly beautiful josei piece about college students coming of age / finding out what is important to them. I still can't get this story out of my head... Seriously, if you pick this up, watch the anime... it's sooooo touching... very poignant slice-of-life.
Emma -- I've only read a few chapters, but it looks like one of those good slow romances.
Ongoing / not completely scanlated or released as of yet :
Suki-tte Ii na yo -- A very interesting older-teen type shoujo with a slow romance. I like that it deals with mature topics like self-esteem issues and body image. Too bad it's on-going... so the wait is agony for me. (Oh sorry... you're reading this too...)
Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume -- I'm going to throw this one in here because it's a funny slice-of-life story with a highly lovable cast of an aloof heroine, weirdo waiter, and tsundere cashier... it's got great quirky characters... (ohhh! I noticed that you ARE reading this... scanlations are coming back! woohooo!!!)
Yeah... sorry... you have an impressive list... but I say, start off with the first two... it's really worth it. Hope this helped!

Heptagon- great (beautiful) plot and characters, the best josei manga I've ever read so far...
Natsume Yuujinchou - is quite good, deals with "everyday" problems of a boy named natsume who can see spirits and such
Flat (AOGIRI Natsu)- a very nice manga
if you liked liar game you'll probably like [m]Switch[/m]- it's only labeled as "shounen-ai" because theres this one chapter when they deal with a male prostitute, if you skip that chapter then it doesn't make a difference to the plot...
Togainu no Chi - one of my favorite (and a well-known)series, a very nice stable plot and well-round characters
theres also this version Togainu no Chi (YAMAMOTO Kana)
Noblesse- getting quite popular, not sure about the 'greatness' of the plot (not better than Heptagon) but it's a fun read.
Boku no Chikyuu wo Mamotte - quite a classic series that also goes to Glass no Kamen
and 7 seeds/Basara their good too
okay that's all I can remember so far....
